Re: Case Keenum
Most QBs play worse when things go wrong. I seen Farve throw an interception in the champ game when things started heading south. Horrible throw. Game over at that point. He's a HOFer. It happens to all of them. The Bears are next. They play some terrific D. They held Rodgers to 10 points. That's playing defense. The Bears will be the favorite but you expect Cousins to go in there and tear them a new one. We need to shut them done and not make stupid mistakes including a #### load of penalties. Especially offensive PI. And we need to pound the ball. Then Cousins can win it. Our D needs to step up also. If they get wiped we are done. If Zims D steps up and pitches a shutout and we pound the ball Cousins will get the win.YikesVikes wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:15 pmI am not blaming Cousins for last year. I am not blaming Cousins for the team's performance. I am saying to you guys that Cousins isnt the answer. He is perfectly adequate during smaller games like Oakland. He is a guy when things go wrong, he plays worse. I wish it isnt so.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:12 pm
This goes along with what I’ve said about cousins. It’s a team game. Every aspect of the team in 2017 was playing well. From the OL to the play calling to the defense. Big Ben and Rodgers have been questioned as leaders and they still have success. It sounds like you’re trying to say cousins lack of leadership is what caused the team to falter last year. I can bet money that wasn’t the case. Case didn’t “galvanize the team”. They were all playing well. Last year, the entire team didn’t play well. And there was a drastic change at OC

You're right. One reason...they let Nick Foles (their version of Case Keenum) walk, to let Carson Wentz (their version of Kirk Cousins) lead the team.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Sun Sep 22, 2019 4:00 pmThe eagles aren’t nearly as good as some think. They struggled with Washington and just lost to Detroit. Both at home. And lost to Atlanta who we just took to the cleaners

Foles leaving has nothing to do with the Eagles' struggles.VikeFanInEagleLand wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:02 amYou're right. Says who? I've heard from many how the team really doesn't want to play for Wentz the way they did for Foles.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:23 amFoles leaving has nothing to do with the Eagles' struggles.VikeFanInEagleLand wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:02 am

Maybe not. I just think that wentz isn’t nearly as good as some think. He’s accomplished next to nothing and gets praised. Foles was the QB during the playoffs last year and during the SB run in 2017.StumpHunter wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:23 amFoles leaving has nothing to do with the Eagles' struggles.VikeFanInEagleLand wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:02 am

Gets praised as a top tier QB. Nobody is saying cousins is a top tier QB. Big differenceStumpHunter wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:21 pmSounds like someone else I know...Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 12:42 pm

I was wishing he showed up the Bears tonight.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 9:01 pmLol exactlyAnd you know for a fact some fans were wishing he showed up the bears tonight just to prove a point...yeah not gonna happen. “He plays well when the pressure is on though”......
But that's because I want the Bears to lose.

Go ahead. I dare you.
Underestimate this man.

Re: Case Keenum
Their defense sure looks every bit as good as advertised tonight. Our defense looks fundamentally solid when we are clicking. When they are clicking, they look less fundamentally solid, but more absolutely, positively soul crushing.J. Kapp 11 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2019 9:31 pm I was wishing he showed up the Bears tonight.
