Are the Vikings seriously interested in Darrell Bevell?

Post by 720pete »

Where is the outcry from fans on this one?

Lets keep the Childress "Kick a$$ offense" era in the past, thank you! :nono:

I pointed out how ridiculous it was a couple times. I heard earlier Bevell and Quinn were in for interviews this weekend. What a crock. Getting credited for adjusting his offense for Wilson. Maybe the Gase guy should get more credit for adjusting his offense for Peyton.

We need someone who can coach, not someone who can coach elite players...

I keep hoping that if i ignore it, it won't happen. I can't believe Bevell is considered Head Coaching material.

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." ‪#‎SKOL2018

I love this response...when I read Bevell's name in other articles I brushed past as if it never happened. My brain refused to accept the possibility...and my heart could not bare the agony!

No
And I don't think the Vikes are seriously thinking about Bevell. I cant even imagine this.

I have a feeling they will hire one of the cincy guys. But my gut feelings are usually B as in B and S as in S.

I think Bevell would be a terrible choice...Therefore, he's a lock...

Regarding Bevel's offensive coordinating for the Vikings, maybe some of the conservative, unimaginative stuff belonged more to Childress.

Even so, I didn't like Bevel as an OC for the Vikings and I doubt that I'd like him as a head coach.

No, no, I think we're better off without a coach than Bevell...his offense was more bland than Musgrave's when he was here.

And no Cincy guys for HC please...Zimmer for DC, fine, HC no. The Cincy offense was an embarrassment yesterday. From what I heard. It was so boring I couldn't even watch it.

I don't think Del Rio would be too bad, but here is my worry, and this worry has enough realism in it to stay away.

Imagine him getting hired here, nice guy got too much hate in Jacksonville for a team he was handed. But what if he arrives and says, "Hey when I was here I played in the cover 2 under Dungy, hell we had the number one defense in the NFL in 1995, you guys already run some of it here, easy transition" About that time I puke my guts out, I want no more of that bend don't break garbage, the NFL knows how to break it.

May be an odd or obvious question, but bringing this up because Del Rio's name is mentioned. Has Musgrave and the other staff been let go as well? Reason being...Musgrave was Del Rio's OC in Jacksonville, and if Del Rio was the guy the Vikes pulled the trigger on he would already have his former OC (Musgrave) with the team.

They haven't, I think they will let the new hire decide. I can't imagine a coach taking this job to be told who his staff will be. Unless they hire a yes man, and that is the last thing we need.

If this happens then I think I'll become a Packers fan until the Vikings get new ownership... :wallbang: :wallbang:
