Like he was going back to Packers. He was talking up AD hoping he got record. Talking about wanting to play indoors. Selling his house a week ago. The Packers wouldn't even match the Vikings offer.

The NFL is becoming a faster game with stronger players, who hit harder and harder. At the age of 25, a man's body is fully grown and the older you get after that, the more fragile you get. I dont understand what being a casual fan has to do with age concerns. It would be different if he was 29 and he had no injury history.
but as i pointed out 8 of those 11 were from one injury last year. to me that is not injury prone but rather a guy who had an injury. a guy could get hurt in training camp and miss all 16 games...does that make him injury prone? what if in the previous five seasons he had missed 4 more games? so 20 games missed in 6 seasons. is that really injury prone?

no biggie...just different viewpoints i guess.

@StribDW: I asked Frazier if Cassel signing revived temptation of Webb to WR: "I'm not thinking that way. Things could change. But I see him as a QB."

Eli wrote: Absolutely. This changes nothing in their draft plans. The WR lineup still looks like this:

Greg Jennings
Jerome Simpson
Jarius Wright
Stephen Burton

They'll draft a WR in the first round. Period. If they draft a decent one, he'll just be coming into his own at about the same time Greg Jennings is spending most Sundays on the sidelines in street clothes.
I agree, they'll still address WR in the draft. But let's not forget Greg Childs, and Chris Summers, they are still competing for a spot.

Not like we're missing out on anything by keeping Webb at QB.

Why does Fraizer keeps saying stupid sh%t like this? Remember his comment about our DBs a few years ago? Fine, if he doesnt want Webb as a WR, just say so. But dont say you see him as a QB. That shows utter ignorance.

and yet, the vikings continue to improve, and good moves continue to be made both during and after the seasons. Its probably just more of a "I don't give a flying eff" So he just says something off the cuff. Its not like a bunch of FA are reading that and going "wow, lez must have a low football IQ not going there."

I would bet the odds of Webb seeing the field as a QB again are about as high as if you were the game day coach

You know what my fear is? They cut Webb and he goes to some other team and becomes a top WR.

From everything I've heard and read about Frazier, he is the furthest thing from ignorant. He's very consistent in how he approaches matters such as these and changing his message just to appease the fanbase would be irrelevant in how he wants to coach his team.

Until this team gets their 3rd (viable) quarterback and for competition purposes going into Summer...I see no problems with him saying this. His actions speak much louder than his words.

Can anyone name me a single position that they think Webb could be put in and be better than someone currently on the roster or someone we could replace him with in FA?

If you can name me one position were he wouldn't be an utter last resort to play him in, I am all for keeping him. I wish the kid all the luck in the world, he seems like a hard worker with a good personality. But he isn't talented enough for what Childress tried to force him to be.

The guy is a Wildcat QB and that is it. I think they should try to take advantage of his athleticism on returns but really he's a man without a position.
Maybe we can trade him to Seattle. They need a wildcat type QB to back up Wilson.

Trade him if you can. If he can't play another position...cut him.
