AdamSchefter: Mike Zimmer said Adrian Peterson would have MRI today, but injury may not be as bad as first feared: "Whatever it was, it calmed down now."
@ProFootballDoc Interpret that to mean the meniscus that kept knee from bending has unlocked & now knee straightens. MRI pending.
@ProFootballDoc Hope optimism is correct, but being able to straighten knee now doesn't mean problem is fixed for #AdrianPeterson. Bucket handle (flipped) meniscus tear is the worry. Bigger hope is ACL spared for #AdrianPeterson
@ProFootballDoc When meniscus flipped/bucketed, sometimes hard to tell if ACL torn as Lachman exam inhibited by cartilage blocking. The big worry on #AdrianPeterson is not the locked knee but why the meniscus may be flipped. High association with ACL. Hope not.
@oTomPelissero: Can't tell definitively before MRI, but Adrian Peterson didn't have that much swelling, can extend leg ... there's optimism ACL is OK.
@ProFootballDoc At least @AdrianPeterson can straighten knee now.
Worry is meniscus. Hoping ACL spared.

My only concern is that in the case of a knee, wouldn't a "tweak" still mean out for a couple of months?
Hard to say without the MRI but gauging the recent information (assuming no ACL) it could be a "trimmed" meniscus. Not sure about the time frame but I'd expect he could return sometime relatively soon after the bye.

That was real hard watching AD being carried off the field. But can anyone tell me why he was carried at all? Especially thru a restaurant? Why in the world wasn't some sort of cart available? That was just bizarre seeing him paraded thru the stadium like that.
Don't pick a fight with an old Viking. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

That's the locker entry point. It's to sell tickets. People get watch them go on and off
If Bradford can sustain consistent performances like Sunday night against the Pack the loss of AP, although a future hall of famer and elite, won't be as big a deal. I think we can definitely survive a few weeks if that is the diagnoses for AP.

That was so wrong. It felt sordid, like a gossip magazine. Even college teams have a new system for getting some privacy for hurt players this year. They pop a tent over the medical table to keep sensitive info private.
As for the injury: is it truly possible that he could play this week? Seems nuts.

Yeah, that was poorly thought out! They should have another passage for a cart to deal with injuries instead of ruining all those paying customer's lunches!! Besides Applebees sucks without the Ribblets!
