The team might be happier about where we are at those positions than the fanbase, for example, Baca at G, The guy from the Eagles at S, Cox, Prater at CB? I don't know...I'd rather not bank on those guys but we'll see what happens. What I do know is that we didn't have a 3rd down back on the roster, and a 3rd down back is important if we want to run Norv Turners offense effectively.
Yeah, very true. The thing is, it's very possible the coaches (and that means all the teams, not just us) have seen a major flaw in Yankey's game / style / motor / passion / whatever that is causing him to fall. Sure on the outside we see a guy with upside being stupidly passed over but the teams probably know something we don't about them.

David Yankey, OG, Stanford, (HT: 6’5⅝”; WT: 315 lbs)
.....
I don't know what the problem is with him.
It's not like if we were the only team needing help at the position, 11 offensive linemen
have been selected in the 3rd round, including 5 guards, and he's still on the board.....

On NFL network they was saying his former college coach thought he was better suited to play corner back.
Sound like a great athlete with a few possibles for different positions.

I felt like RB was a big need this year, believe it or not. I don't know who that guy is that they drafted (sounds good), but they definitely needed to address that position.

Means he isn't happy with the Teddy pick and hes going to bring it up every post. You know, because even JaMarcus Russell was mocked #1.

Was just thinking this. They should give it serious thought.

Yeah, sounds familiar  It gets pretty annoying when some fans managed/manage to bash Ponder a 1,000 times
