Don't think it's meant to be. On the road, early, Ponder. Close or not, I think we lose this one. Negativity meter is detecting a sub-.500 season. Oh noes!

Ponder is so damn erratic, who knows. We need a new QB. :(

Are we really 6 point dogs in this? I know it is a road game but it is in the dome. Isn't this team 21-5 against the Lions in the last 13 seasons, to include the most recent sweep last year? We just seem to have this franchise's number.

We'll know soon enough! It definitely looks like a tough opener on paper.

Playing in this competitive division, it's good to get a road test early. I don't know what to make of this game, let alone this season. But it is hardly the defining game of the season. I'm just happy that football is back!

All eyes will be on that player you're not mentioning but there are some other players I'm really eager to see and I hope they step up immediately. Jennings, Patterson, Robinson, Floyd and Henderson are foremost among them.

I'm hoping Wright and Ponder pick up where they left off last season. They were developing some genuine chemistry.

Is it game time yet?

I don't except Webb to be a big part of the game plan, maybe the odd reverse hand off trick play they have drawn up for him.

Ryan Broyles - WR - Lions

Ryan Broyles is expected to be inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

After a hot start to camp, Broyles' knee woes started to crop up. He's torn his ACL in each knee in each of the last two seasons. The talented possession receiver is going to need some time to get right and become a contributor. In the meantime, the Lions will roll with intriguing undrafted rookie Patrick Edwards as their No. 3 receiver behind Calvin Johnson and Nate Burleson.

I hope your right and the viking staff gives him a chance on red-zone plays, he caught nice a goal line in pre-season, he's a good player that needs some developing. He is one hell of an athlete to.

I think people are seriously over exaggerating Reggie Bush's value to the Lions. The two areas I'm most interested in watching are Ponder and the secondary. 27-20 Vikings
