RIP Paul Newman

Post by John »

Paul Newman died Friday at age 83 at his long-time home in Westport, Connecticut, and with his passing, more has been lost than just a good and fine man.

I am so sad to see this. One of the greats is gone. He was so much more than just an actor too.

I will miss him more than most.

RIP.

That was a great one, but my two favorites were The Verdict and Absence of Malice.

I liked The Verdict, too. He really deserved an Oscar for that one.

Mr Newman said that nothing came easily for him and he had to work hard because of that. But, he made it look like it came easily. He will be missed. And the list of greats from the Golden Era of Hollywood just keeps getting shorter.

I liked his Hustler movies, then The Verdict, Slapshot, and Cool Hand Luke.
Edit: Favorite actor, and liked Road to Perdition a lot, too.

man tuff week..

my firends mom died of lung cancer the other day. It wasn't one of the pretty ones either.
You don't know what to say in those cases.

Paul Newman seemed like a really great guy and was involved in a lot of charities
that he didn't even want credit for. Sad to see a guy like that go.

Absense of Malice was one of my favorites.
