Lol you really are turning into a manipulating troll and again, opinions change. But either way, send me that thread because I’m interested to see how that conversation went. Either way, Clearly I was wrong nor do I even remember saying that. I was saying that before he was drafted. Did you not watch him play last year? You’re trying to tell me he’s a good QB after seeing him play multiple nfl games. That’s the difference. But all you saw was his record so you think he’s a good QB.
Before he was drafted and before he lead a team to the playoffs you thought he was a good fit. After he proved he could help a team make it to the playoffs and had arguably the second best rookie season out of his class, your opinion of him became worse?
If you don't want to get manipulated, stop disagreeing so vehemently with yourself.

Like I said, show me the thread so I can see what was said. And my opinion of him as an arm talent has never changed. He has always been an inaccurate passer. Either way, stuff that has been said over a year ago and somehow expect me to remember is what I don’t get. Opinions change over time. There are a lot of things I think now that I won’t think a year from now. So I don’t get what you’re trying to prove other than just being a little troll that’s ticking everyone off and arguing just to argue

What changed since then, aside from your favorite team not drafting him and instead investing 84 million in Cousins?
I know I am higher on him now than I was back then, based on his play in the NFL. Not entirely sold on him still, but he could get better. I hope he doesn't, but that hope won't make me pretend he has no shot at becoming a legitimate passer in the NFL.

I literally said I wasn’t a fan of him. And after seeing how bad of a passer he really was last year, that’s why I don’t want him. Or think he’s a good QB. I was wrong saying him being a good fit for this offense because he can’t throw the ball. Like again, idk what you’re trying to prove. I would’ve told you back then that Cousins was a much better QB. I also mentioned mason Rudolph in that post and he didn’t amount to anything. You don’t know anything until these guys get to the nfl. And Jackson proved to me he was an awful passing QB.

I just had a weird thought.
Everybody sort of assumes that if Kevin Stefanski falls on his face, they'll dump him and replace him with Gary Kubiak.
But ... what if the Vikings miss the playoffs? Is it possible that Kubiak could replace Mike Zimmer?
I'm not calling for that. Just posing a hypothetical. Thoughts?

If the Vikings miss the playoffs, everyone will be gone.
Kubiak especially, since he was supposed to fix the offense.

I feel like his big problem is that he doesn't think it's okay for people to change their opinion over time. It's okay to change your mind. It's okay to have a new opinion and it's perfectly fine to just change your mind for no reason.

It is fine to change your mind. For instance, I thought Goff was a complete bust after his rookie season, but was proven wrong.
What I would never do, because I had that opinion myself at one point, is go after someone for having that same opinion about Goff. Which is what PHP did to himself, unwittingly, twice.

So I went against my own opinion from over a year ago? Again what’s your point? Like Rhodes Closed said, opinions change. Whether I questioned your opinion or my own from a year and a half ago, what’s the difference?. So if I, for example, said Waynes was a bust a year and a half ago, and now I say I think he’s good, you’re going to call me out for that? Because I said something different that long ago?? I mean way to go puffing your chest out and setting me up to go against my own opinion I don’t even recall writing because it was so long ago but in the end, you didn’t prove anything. So I really don’t understand what you’re so proud of. Like good job, you “caught” me. My opinion changed over a year and a half span. How dare I do that again lol.
In the end, my opinion of a player now compared to a year and a half from now could be totally different. Heck it could be different in 6 months. Opinions change all the time. It’s worse when you put blinders on and stick to that opinion when it’s now proved to be false. For example, PK use to rag on Waynes all the time saying he was a bust and I continued to say just give him time and thought he could be a good CB. Sure enough, Waynes turned into a pretty darn good CB and for the longest time, PK downright refused to admit that just because he wanted to stick to his gut feeling he had 2 years prior. Waynes could have turned into the next Revis and PK would try and find fault with his game just because he said he was a bust early on. That’s why guys took his opinions with a grain of salt.
If you don’t adapt with the times and base your opinion off what you currently see and think
right now regardless of what you said years prior, then you look like an idiot sitting there still trying to fight it. If I kept saying that I liked Waynes and thought he was good and he actually did end up busting, then I’m going to say he’s a bust. Not fight it because I thought he was a good pick years before. I always said we needed to give Treadwell time and opportunities because he didn’t have many his first two years. I liked him and thought he was a good WR. This past year he got more opportunities and he didn’t do anything. So what is Laquon Treadwell? A bust. I guess that means you have to go run and find my posts saying Treadwell was a good WR and call me out for it now that I’m saying he’s a bust....
Like come on dude. Enough

Again, think that I’m a “hypocrite” all you want but the opinions were from a year and a half ago. I have every right to change my opinion over time based on what I’m seeing currently from a player. That’s not being a hypocrite. Especially when it was said that long ago. Everyone’s opinions change over time. Although I’m sure yours doesn’t because you act like you have everything figured out even though there is zero record of you saying any of it that long ago. Either way, you didn’t prove a thing and did nothing but waste your own time. So congrats

I proved that you would question your own football acumen if it meant arguing a decision the Vikings have made. That, or you are so far in denial you apparently don't even remember how you felt about a Vikings starting QB just a little over one year ago.
It is fine to think Case sucks now. Some of us saw the flaws in his game all along, but most were fooled. It isn't fine to go after a poster for having that exact same take.
If Cousins has an MVP season and wins the Super Bowl, would it be okay for me to come on here and call someone dumb for thinking he was an overpaid, slightly above average QB before the season? Or would that make me a hypocrit?
My phone changes it to that btw, but thanks for pointing it out.

That’s not what I was pointing out but let’s not get too defensive here.
And I saw Case’s flaws as well. Go back and look at my posts. Following the season, I remember specifically making posts about case and how I didn’t trust him. I was saying that PRIOR to us signing cousins. Yeah days after the nfc championship I thought higher of him but my opinion of him quickly changed. I said multiple times that you never know what case you’re going to get or if he could continue the string of luck he was on. So don’t try and sit there and claim I’m just siding with cousins because we signed him and let case walk. I was pushing for cousins when I knew he was hitting the market and wanted case gone.
I posted all of this prior to free agency starting that year:
I’m not opposed to that either. Everyone says “teddy didn’t get to play with a good OL, WRs and RB”. Well neither did Bradford and Bradford is a better pure QB. If we’re willing to give a guy that hasn’t played in two years and nearly lost his leg a shot I’m not opposed to giving Bradford a shot if the price is right. I’m definitely all for Cousins, then probably Case but Bradford is a close second
I still take Cousins over Keenum though. Depending on what they command I’d pay 5 mill more to have cousins than Keenum. And again Keenum could easily be a product of shurmurs system. I love Case and Hes my 2nd option but cousins trumps him any day
I mean Case is no doubt my second option behind Cousins. Mainly because yes, Cousins has a higher ceiling. ALSO, this has been Case's only good year in the league. So with Shurmur gone, it does make me nervous. Because Case very well could have been a product of that system. Maybe not though? Who knows. But if we are considering tagging Case or only throwing him $5 mill less than Cousins, just go after Cousins
That is definitely my second option but if we are going to throw $25 mill at Case, I'd just rather throw $30 at Cousins instead.
As for what QBs to look at, Foles could be just as much of a fluke as Case. I really dont trust Foles anymore than I do Keenum.
And what makes you so confident in Case Keenum? He could easily be a product of Shurmurs system. He’s my second choice but I still take Cousins any day of the week over him
....all said a month prior to us even signing Kirk cousins. The only time I was really “defending” case was when guys wanted to keep teddy over him because I don’t think teddy is a very talented QB at all. Outside of that, I wanted case gone if we had a shot at cousins.
So again, you still proved nothing.
