Well the noon game against GB was flexed to the national game of the week at 3:30 this year and it was home and it went the way of all to many 'prime time' games. Actually though, I thought their performance against AZ was a marked improvement to most primetime showings. Hope it's a nasty blizzard type of weather-- that ought to favor AD and not Manning/Odell... well maybe as long as AD can keep his handle on the ball...TSonn wrote:I know our record is something like 1-20 in primetime games lately, but how many of those have been on the road? All the ones I can think of are on the road. Even the 2 this year so far were in SF and AZ.
Not that it makes that record any better, but we have also been terrible on the road over that time span (except this year), too. Plus, away teams on TNF rarely win anyway - all of the times I can remember us being on TNF we have been on the road.
It will be nice to see how this team performs in primetime at home this year.

There's a brief article about that on the Strib site this morning:cstelter wrote:Well the noon game against GB was flexed to the national game of the week at 3:30 this year and it was home and it went the way of all to many 'prime time' games. BTW, there are no Sunday Night games on the last week. They could flex it to 3:00, but not at night.

There is. They just haven't picked it yet. That is the only game that is not pre-set.PurpleMustReign wrote:BTW, there are no Sunday Night games on the last week. They could flex it to 3:00, but not at night.

Thanks for that, I was both hoping and thinking that that wasn't the case.Raptorman wrote: There is. They just haven't picked it yet. That is the only game that is not pre-set.

Re: Vikings/Giants moving to Sunday night.
It will be the game with the greatest playoff implication and best possible audience. The game can be flexed up to a short 6 days in advance. They usually pick it after the Monday night game of week 16. We will have a better understanding of which game might be flexed after this weekend's games. For example, if the Packer lose and Vikings win, that last game will be for the Division title.Jordysghost wrote: Thanks for that, I was both hoping and thinking that that wasn't the case.
Since the NFL went to every game in the last week being a division game it has opened up plenty of playoff scenarios.

Yea it really has. I still expect the game to be flexed should the Packers not lose though, but thats because I don't see another loss on the Vikings schedule aside from maybe GB.Raptorman wrote: It will be the game with the greatest playoff implication and best possible audience. It will have to compete with the Giants- Eagles game for that primetime slot.

Good chance the Giants will be out of it by then. They play the Panthers and the Vikings the next two weeks.Jordysghost wrote: Yea it really has. Yea, good point I momentarily forgot they got the Panthers this week. I do think they are quite capable of an upset but I still find it unlikely,Raptorman wrote: Good chance the Giants will be out of it by then. They play the Panthers and the Vikings the next two weeks.

Nope. Up thread we talked about the Eagles (and now Giants) reaching their primetime limit.Jordysghost wrote:

I find it amusing that nobody has brought up the most obvious choice for the SNF game: the Panthers potentially going for 16-0

That game will have zero playoff implications. While I get he idea, I just don't think it will happen. Yup, let's watch the 15-0 Panthers take on the 7-8 Bucs. Or, watch the Packers Vikings play for the division title.DK Sweets wrote:I find it amusing that nobody has brought up the most obvious choice for the SNF game: the Panthers potentially going for 16-0

@AdamSchefter NFL discussing discipline for Odell Beckham Jr. this morning, but based on conversations with league sources, a 1-game suspension is likely.

Clearly. His hit was much worse than Suh's stomp or Talib's poke in my opinion.dead_poet wrote:
