MelanieMFunk wrote: Yeah, from what I heard on NFL Network last night--the Packers aren't exactly excited about this, and they're discussing some possible shifting around within the o-line. Either way, I hope they struggle. I love seeing Rodgers go down.
It is a pretty sight, isn't it? :o

It is rather beautiful. His championship belt thing is not. I wouldn't mind seeing a late hit after that. Lol.

All these Packers WRs getting hurt, bet they wish they had Jennings. :D

And injuries suck, unless they happen to the Packers...

or...

Bears
Saints
Steelers
Patriots

This is getting scary. Why so many injuries this year, so early? Especially torn ACLs?

New practice rules? Fluke? Alexander is on his third or fourth ACL tear, so it's not exactly shocking.

You guys really think there has been more injuries? I don't. I think there is a fair amount every year in training camp/preseason. I think people just tend to forget about them as the season moves forward and we get into real football. Unless of course someone's favorite team lost a key player or two--then it wouldn't be forgotten. Either way, I think it's fairly comparable to any other year. At least these things are happening early on so teams can adjust--and pick up any remaining decent free agents if needed.

Ah. Now the Falcons' starting RT Mike Johnson is expected to miss the season with dislocated, fractured ankle. Ouch.

GREEN BAY – Bryan Bulaga has indeed opted for surgery to repair his torn anterior cruciate ligament, and the Green Bay Packers starting left tackle will be lost for the season.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Bulaga’s decision after practice Wednesday. Bulaga had been mulling the idea of playing with a brace and postponing surgery after suffering the injury during the team’s annual Family Night Scrimmage on Saturday.

Earl Bennett - WR - Bears

Bears WR Earl Bennett has been diagnosed with a concussion.

Bennett won't play in Friday's preseason opener in Carolina, and it's his second concussion since December. Chicago's slot receiver is week to week.

Kelvin Hayden - DB - Bears

Bears CB Kelvin Hayden tore his left hamstring and is done for the season.

Re-signed to a one-year deal in the offseason, 30-year-old Hayden was expected to serve as the Bears' nickel corner. He played 472 snaps last season and recorded 37 tackles, five breakups, and one interception. Special teams ace Zackary Bowman will be given an opportunity to take over slot duties.

Plaxidently Shot Myself is on IR now. Not sure how significant that even is, but it could possibly be career-ending at this point. He's not getting any younger.

I just think it's a little crazy that a lot of these injuries are indeed happening to the teams I mentioned. Maybe I'm on to something here. :) I better behave though; karma isn't always friendly! :nono:
