Probably afraid they'd be forced to sign someone significantly worse, or draft someone and hope. They have no depth there and the guy they're starting on the other side might need replacing at some point. But 3.85 seems like quite a bit for what you get out of the guy. Wonder how much is guaranteed?

Charlie Johnson .. did better at LG.. He was starting to work well with the line later in the year a few of Peterson's biggest run
were off holes created by him pushing defenders out of there lanes

I am happy with him staying another year if he is enough of a team guy to take a cut and with his improvement at LG
