So, I guess the Vikings coaching staff finally had a chance to analyze all the Ponder game film. Can't accuse them of jumping to conclusions too early.

Let's give Rick some credit. He was smart enough to see that Ponder wasn't going to be the answer. Kudos for making the right decision for once Minnesota.

By releasing MBT, I think it shows the Vikes want Ponder to start. He still hasn't lost the position in their eyes. I am so sick of Ponder, and was really hoping the signing of Freeman would at least end up in Ponder finally being gone, off of the team. But no, now we have Ponder and Freeman. Just great. Next thing ya know, they wont pick a QB until round 5 in the draft. When will they ever fix this QB problem instead of just throwing money at it.

You really think Freeman would have signed here without some wink and handshake about starting? This wasn't a Jennings/Bishop/Simpson deal where there was little to no interest. A number of teams were interested, with virtually guaranteed starting spot for him. And he came here. And we paid him a couple million?

Ponder is done. Cassel is almost there...he's going to need to be perfect the next week or two to not have Freeman pass him.

Let's get real people...

Here's a quick question: I haven't been over to the 49ers forums, but I wonder if they're as concerned and a-twitter about 'ol Kaep as we were/are of Ponder's ineptness.

Kaepernick's last four games:

13/28 (46.4%), 127 yards; 3 INTs
13/27 (48.1%); 150 yards; 1 INT
15/23 (65.2%); 167 yards; 2 TDs
6/15 (40%); 113 yards; 1 TD

Those numbers aren't very happy.

Just wondering.

Wanna know the worst part?

Alex Smith Rushing - 33 attempts, 161 yards
Colin Kaepernick rushing - 27 attempts, 154 yards
