Carr, Garpacalolo, Mccarron, Murray, Shaw, dont have that NFL-ish feel to me.
Meatnbooger and Brett Smith on the other hand both seem to have that thing that translates.
Brett Smith has the feel of a real leader to me, no pretensions, very cool, and humble.
Manziel will do fine for a year maybe two and then flame out(ego will get him) and Bridgewater will be overwhelmed with the bright lights of it all.
Of the consensus top 3 i would take Breaks Bottles, looks like he belongs on an NFL field but will probably be gone by the 8th pick.
If the Vikes picked Brett Smith i wouldnt whine a bit. If they pick Carr i will whine plenty.
Which QB would you want the most in the draft?

Why would you assume that a player who's played possibly his 2 best games in college in bowl games would be overwhelmed by the bright lights?

I couldn't agree more.Mothman wrote:I continue to like Zimmer's attitude and I have a feeling we're going to see a very defense-oriented draft from the Vikings, which would make sense.
And please, folks, no over caffeinated WE NEED A QUARTERBACK stress! I certainly agree that the Vikings need a quarterback and I'd be thrilled if they find a future franchise QB in R1 or R2 or whenever. I'm just hoping the Vikings draft for D, too. Last year's defense let down far too often.

I would prefer us go defense anyway in the second round and get a guy like Khalil Mack or CJ Moseley. Or we could also go DL. But I think we have too many holes on D to not address that first. Unless Bridgewater and Manziel fall at 8, I'd go defense.losperros wrote: I couldn't agree more.

Funny stuff. Now Carr is the QB of choice? Zach M has twice the arm and pocket awareness. Some even mention Murry. We already had Murry, and he wasnt coming off a torn ACL. His name was Ponder. If we get a hurt QB, get Zach. He has the best arm in this years QB pool. And less likely to bomb out like the Carr brothers.

Murray has Confidence in the pocket, looks off Defenders and a 10X better leader that is what separates him from Ponder. before his ACL tear he started 52 straight games. We should stop Comparing QBs to Ponder purely on Arm Strength, Mettenberger has the best Arm Strength in the draft which is a great attribute to have but it doesn't make me look away from his horrible movement in the pocket this guy has stone feet and is also coming off an ACL tear as well.
David Fales has been my choice since last year mostly because of how accurate he is, you will not find a better back shoulder thrower than Fales. He knows exactly were to put the ball and spreads it all over the field with consistency, he is not perfect and needs to be coached up a little bit as he tries to fit the ball into tight spaces which causes some INT's.
