Re: Draft thread
That's one reason why I love the guy. Theres an amazing piece Pellisero did when he visited there and Zim gave him the tour. There is another one when Zim talked about the building process and his work with the builder. Showed all the incredible woodwork involved. The log beams are amazing. The builder has built many high class hunting lodges all over the US and said that so far Zim's was the most difficult to build.
Pretty cool in the interview with Pellisero he was bass fishing in the pond, driving him all around the property, and he showed the special tree and area he planted in honor of his wife. Said he sits there drinking wine remembering her and talking to her.
The place is absolutely amazing. Huge.
Cool thing is that he does most of the work himself. He talked about buying more ground beside him. Showed him planting food plots . Property he bought while with Cincy and just kept buying up more ground and when he got Vikings job decided to build the lodge.
Beautiful property. I can't imagine being able to have a place like that. What a dream

Search Mike Zimmer home or hunting lodge and you will find several pictures and videos and pretty sure the Pellisero interview comes up.

On the contrary, thanks for posting it. I don't even hunt, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and the part about his area devoted to his wife put a knot in my throat. I really do like Zimmer and hope he can bring us the Lombardi some day.Bowhunting Viking wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 12:59 pm Sorry about the long post. I do too. Not just for all of the fans but for him too. He gets emotional in the interviews about his wife. Talked about how she always pushed him to build the ranch and always questioned why he kept waiting.Texas Vike wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 1:09 pmOn the contrary, thanks for posting it. Said when he got the Vikings job he knew she would want him to do it.
He is a tough dude and hard #### on the outside, but in that interview and then one I saw on a hunting show when he was ona hunting trip, he showed a sensitive side that is totally opposite to his football side.
He had to learn to shoot his bow and his guns left handed after having all the eye issues.
Trust me, especially the bow, that is a hard thing to do. I have a buddy who is a lefty and I used one of his lefty bows to learn how to shoot lefty in case something ever happened and I had to switch I would have a jump on it. Its hard.
Damn, there I go again.
Can't get started on bowhunting or I just get going.
