2 offensive linemen knocked out of the game. Beavers at Tackle = not good.
2 - 10 on 3rd down conversions is a big part of the problem....who you blame that on, I'm not sure.

It's BECAUSE you know ZERO about pro football. My guess is you are a FF player. Don't answer, your comments spell that out to me (that or you are a child posting on this board and only watch parts of a few games in which case I apologize for trying to inform you).
See pro personal people KNOW what he is and what he can and has done.
Wonder what Norv thought of Sam?? His "vision" and his "anticipation"?
Oh wait, HERE IT IS!
Vikings OC Norv Turner has been around a while. He's been an NFL coach for the last 31 years and has spent the last 26 as either a head coach or offensive coordinator.
He's worked with quarterbacks in the "great" tier (Troy Aikman), "very good" tier (Philip Rivers) and "solid" tier (Alex Smith).
And yet Turner recently said Sam Bradford's vision "is as good as any QB I've ever coached."
"I just think you get excited about a guy and you make that statement," Turner said, per the Vikings' official site. "I believe it’s true. That doesn’t take away from someone else and the way they play the game. Sam, he can anticipate. He sees what’s happening out in front of people. He can relate back to you what he sees and most of the time he’s pretty accurate.”
High praise for the former Eagles signal-caller, who brings a 5-0 Vikings team into his return to the Linc this Sunday.
Bradford has carried last season's late success into 2016. He leads the NFL with a 70.4 percent completion rate. He's thrown six TDs in four games and averaged 247.5 yards. Among quarterbacks with at least 100 attempts, only Bradford and Chicago's Brian Hoyer have yet to throw an interception.
"It's pretty remarkable," Turner said. "Everyone knows the story. It’s really a tribute to him. His ability to prepare, his experiences. I think his past experiences in the league help him in this situation. And then I think it’s a lot of people that have helped to contribute to his success, whether it be coaches or other players."
Turner has been especially impressed by Bradford's arm strength and ability to anticipate throws. The Vikings are missing Adrian Peterson and starting left tackle Matt Kalil, and yet Bradford has this offense humming more than Teddy Bridgewater did the last two years. Vikings fans thought their season was crumbling when Bridgewater tore up his knee right before Week 1. Turned out the Vikings may have gotten better.
"He’s very good at (throwing receivers open) because, as I’ve said, I think he sees the big picture awfully well," Turner said of Bradford. "Sometimes guys don’t have the ability to throw a guy open because they don’t know what’s happening somewhere else. They don’t see enough, a wide enough scope. So they’re afraid to get themselves in trouble throwing it to different spots."
Bradford hasn't been. He has some decent skill players in Stefon Diggs, Charles Johnson, Cordarrelle Patterson and tight end Kyle Rudolph, but he's also bringing the best out of them.
Bradford is under contract next season as well. That was an important factor in Minnesota's trade for him because the organization doesn't know how quickly Bridgewater will be able to return, or whether he'll even win the starting job back next summer. If Bradford keeps playing like this, perhaps he turns out to be the Vikings' QB of the future. And he's still just 28 years old.

Ah, Turner must just be an idiot too... I mean you know more than him right?

Now I'm ignorant huh? Because Shaun hill is solid right? And this OL is solid right? And these running backs are good right? And you want to sit there and blame a guy that led us on a 5-0 start and has been butt raped because of his OL. Has had solid numbers all year and has done well protecting the ball. But yeah I'm ignorant. Time to open your eyes pal[/quote]Pondering Her Percy wrote:

Nope not ignorant.....I'd call you realistic.....With the mess we call an OL, no AP, no Diggs, and a defense that is pretty good but leaks in pressure situations I'd say we did well to even stand a chance to win today. We all know the glaring weakness is the OL so all others stop blaming SB.

Glad someone else sees this. He's playing in a manufactured system that is requiring quick throws due to the injuries we had on the OL. We also have piles of junk for RBs. But yeah let's blame Sam. Makes total senseautobon7 wrote: Nope not ignorant.....I'd call you realistic.....With the mess we call an OL, no AP, no Diggs, and a defense that is pretty good but leaks in pressure situations I'd say we did well to even stand a chance to win today. Just read that Sam Bradford is the first quarterback to complete 30 passes and have under 225 yards passing. Bradford was 31/37.
Our offense doesn't play to win.
I just don't understand why we never went downfield, treadwell made his first start. Throw the #### ball to him, give our WRS a chance. So frustrating....

Re: Vikings @ Lions Game Day Discussion Thread -- Thanksgivi
Threw one to him on the first drive...easy back shoulder slant that surprised him and ended up in a deflected int off his shoulder....betting that did not endear himself to the QB...or OC. Right after that some NFL guy tweeted out "Treadwell let the DB run his route for him and beat him to the spot which tells me why he can't get on the field.."AlldayPotter wrote:Just read that Sam Bradford is the first quarterback to complete 30 passes and have under 225 yards passing. I mean, he is a rookie. Just cause a guy jumped his slant route doesn't mean he can't get open. Shouldn't quite on him cause of that.
Everyone been #### on patterson last 2 years cause norv wouldn't use him, and now he is one of our best recievers.
Anyways point being, I'd rather us take some shots and let's recievers make a play rather than 3 yard curls routes and play not to loose and hope defense wins the game. Tired of it.

you make it sound as if the defender, who got called for pass interference, made a good play there.RFIP wrote: Threw one to him on the first drive...easy back shoulder slant that surprised him and ended up in a deflected int off his shoulder....betting that did not endear himself to the QB...or OC. The Vikings were absolutely desperate and stupid to give up a first for Sam. Most everyone said that. Also, what was Norv supposed to say? The team had just mortgaged the future for him. Was Norv going to say he's not very good and that was stupid? My guess is you can't defend the points I've made against his track record so you instead throw insults. Bradford sucks and was NOT worth anywhere close to what they gave up. Shurmur's scheme also sucks and will never score enough to win most games unless you get defensive and special teams scores or have beast run after the catch WRS.RFIP wrote:

So we're suppose to roll with Shaun Hill and toss away the season?? Give me a break!!Maelstrom88 wrote: The Vikings were absolutely desperate and stupid to give up a first for Sam. Also what many continue to fail to realize is that we have two 3rd round and two 4th round picks this coming draft. We don't have a first but that is it. We have 8 picks in a 7 round draft already. I wouldnt say we "mortgaged the future" just because we don't have a first round pick

there's an article on foxsports right now about the trade. eagles gm would have let him go for less than a first but, evidently, spielman really didn't haggle. vikes got fleeced.

Besides bradford, is there anyone on our team worth trading away this offseason for 1 or 2nd round picks? People act like we can't trade for picks..... although not sure what market there would be... Browns have a boatload of picks, wonder if they would toss one our way

I hate to be one of those guys, but its bugs me. It's "intact" not "in tacked". Other than that you make some good points, far from all Bradford's fault. But can someone tell me why every QB for the last 6 years has consistently thrown short of the sticks on 3rd down? It can't be all on Bradford because we got the same from Teddy and Ponder. Did you see what they did in the Dallas game today? They actually throw beyond the sticks on 3rd, and sometimes even toward the end zone!!
Do I have to become a Dallas or skins fan to see my team do that?

No what Spielman should have done was not roll with Hill as the backup just so teddy felt safe in his job security. If they knew Hill wasn't someone they felt comfortable starting then why waste a roster spot on him? Why not sign Nick Foles for no draft pick compensation? Why not draft a better backup qb behind teddy whenever teddy really hasn't been that great anyways? Why not haggle and laugh when the Eagles wanted a first for a QB who they wanted out anyways after drafting Wentz. Trading a first for Sam was more stupid than taking Ponder in the first as high as they did and that's really saying something.Pondering Her Percy wrote: So we're suppose to roll with Shaun Hill and toss away the season?? Do you mean how the Eagles got fleeced the year before when they traded the Rams their 2nd, 4th AND Nick Foles for Bradford?Nunin wrote:there's an article on foxsports right now about the trade. eagles gm would have let him go for less than a first but, evidently, spielman really didn't haggle. vikes got fleeced.
