It's been over a month since this team played like the team that beat the Titans. You go ahead and hold your breath though! The Lions are an average team, if they struggle against them they'll get killed against a good team.Kidfozzy wrote: 10-0 Tennessee, 1st half.
24-10 Vikings final.
No positivity on this board rn, it is embarrassing.

I think this half will determine which direction this team heads for the rest of the year.

Stafford is getting rid of the ball quickly and over the middle. Very noticeable decline without Kendricks. If they can shore up protection in the middle of the field, the defense should be fine. Offensively, penalties are killing them. It's bad enough that you can't block but jumping offsides, block in the back, etc., that's just losing focus. It's a 1 possession game, defense needs a stop and offense needs to start playing more disciplined.

Re: Lions @ Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 9
I'm out of the market and haven't been able to watch the game, but from the sounds of it our offense moved the ball a bit and showed some better tendencies. Sounds like we had some unfortunate penalties after Greenway's INT that took away a sure 3 if not more. Our D is not playing the best, but we're missing some guys to injury.
Let's keep some hope! Make some adjustments at half and eek out a tough game against a decent division rival. (I don't think it's fair to see the Lions as terrible).

Most definitely, let's see if Zimmer's adjustments are as good than earlier this season.808vikingsfan wrote:I think this half will determine which direction this team heads for the rest of the year.

Without the penalties our offense might be serviceable. Even though they only have 10 pointso our defense needs to play better. Zero pressure is why we are losing this game.
Re: Lions @ Vikings Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 9
Offense had several drive killing penalties and one bad throw by Bradford but have been moving the ball. Defense had 1 bad drive to end the half but looked fine otherwise, even giving the offense the ball at the 18.Texas Vike wrote:I'm out of the market and haven't been able to watch the game, but from the sounds of it our offense moved the ball a bit and showed some better tendencies. But he's also getting a lot of time too. 0 sacks and maybe 1 or 2 hurries is not going to get it done with a qb like Stafford.S197 wrote:Stafford is getting rid of the ball quickly and over the middle. I see him getting rid of the ball quickly, not like he's sitting back there all day.808vikingsfan wrote: But he's also getting a lot of time too. 0 sacks and maybe 1 or 2 hurries is not going to get it done with a qb like Stafford.
