What's Joe Staley's contract situation? He and Teddy were buddying up on celebrity Family Feud 8)

Has Boone ever played LT?
It will be good getting some of the backups some playing time in the preseason.

Edit: John Sullivan is today's first team center TJ Clemmings at left tackle for Matt Kalil

Pretty sure Boone was a college LT.

Clemmings at starting LT. Lol...goodbye Teddy.

Yes Boone can play LT if needed... I noticed Beavers was pretty low on the
depth chart. Looks like a long shot to make team, based on first depth chart.

Day 10 Notebook
Patterson with a one-handed catch
Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson flashed for the first time since returning from a shoulder injury. Patterson hauled in a one-handed pass in the flat on a high Joel Stave throw. He sprinted up the sideline and put a couple moves on the defensive backs. Patterson is easing back into a full-time role and will be tested heavily in the preseason.

Terence Newman indeed did not travel with the #Vikings to Cincinnati. Might be one of a few.

You aren't going to see a fourth round pick get cut thats for sure. At worst he would be on the practice squad. All our rookies are low on that depth chart. The first depth chart means nothing IMO.

I agree I just found it interesting is all even our first round pick was low on the list...given that the depth chart for wide outs were listed as wr1 and wr2's

I still have not heard anything on the fifth round pick MLB ....Lamur has had some chatter and my quess is at worst going to split time with Chad ...

Nice read, thanks. Sounds like the battles to watch in preseason are at S, LB, and C. At this point, I'm hoping they don't keep a FB. Line was far from impressive last year and it doesn't sound like Renaud is doing much either. Seems like Morgan could do fine if they need one but AD doesn't care for FB's anyway so it seems like a bit of a roster spot waste.

I also liked this little gem:
For what seems like the 19th straight year, everyone is speculating that Sherels could be cut. But as you know, only cockroaches, Twinkies, and Marcus Sherels can survive anything. He'll be around.

Based on Twitter, sounds like the Vikings had a good 1st practice against the Bengals. Defense seemed pretty dominant, especially up front. Offense was able to move the ball. Trae Waynes on the sidelines with an illness. Jabari Price took his place since Newman also out. Diggs beat Pacman on a nice route, Treadwell had a TD catch. Sherels absent as his brother is in the hospital. Berger got the start over Sully. Also saw a tweet about Diggs leaving the field, couldn't tell if he was frustrated or injured but he did jog off. Kendricks, Floyd, Newman, etc. did not participate as expected. Kalil was full participant.

Also, I'm sure everyone remembers Andrew Billings, looks like he was carted off the field today. Hope he's alright.

Doesn't sound good for Billings if they carted him."

Good stuff
oh look it's jayron kearse on the same field as Barr, Greenway, Rhodes, Munnerlyn and Harrison Smith twitter.com/StephenATurner…
Kearse in with the ones in RedZone. Makes a NICE play breaking up a TD intended for Green?
Heat & humidity must have been terrible today

-Diggs is a beast
-The Vikings D is legit
-M. Alexander is getting it
