More Zimmer on Adrian Peterson: "I don't want him really full go yet. He's probably 95% or something like that." #Vikings

#Vikings switched up O-Line again, going with Kalil, Boone, Berger, Fusco and Clemmings at morning walk-thru.

Interesting about Berger, given the observations about Sully getting physically pushed around in padded practice. Is Sullivan just too small/weak to be a fit in Sparano's "wrecking crew" offensive line?

They're mixing stuff up. Too early to read into anything at this point.

Waynes just took a couple snaps in nickel opposite of Rhodes with Munnerlyn in the slot.

Danielle Hunter just stayed with Jerick McKinnon on a pass down the sideline. What an athlete. #VikingsCamp

But not too early to wonder.

this time of year is like reading a mystery novel. You just get bits and pieces of info, (like, sullivan got kinda bullied) and its hard not to try to predict how the varioud pieces might fit together in the final analysis. I have no confidence in the prediction at this point.

I'm certainly not trying to make a declarative statement that Berger WILL be the starting Center...just enjoying the ride!

Mike Priefer said Jeff Locke needs to have a consistent camp, or the #Vikings will bring in competition. Looking for 40-yard net average.
Interesting take on the net. Seems Kluwe was correct when he said he was instructed to go for more hang time vs. distance...

Whoa.
Mike Priefer said Blair Walsh hit 92-93 percent of his kicks this spring. Said there were 200+ kicks.

2016 Vikings Training Camp

Post by dead_poet »

Day 4
Asiata looked the best out of all the running backs on the 1-on-1 blocking drill with the linebackers. McKinnon was better than last year.
QB's working on routes up the seam with the TE's and Shaun Hill badly overthrew David Morgan. High throws have been a theme for him.
WR's are working on run blocking. Treadwell looks really natural with his technique/footwork.

7 on 7s starting and Jerick McKinnon took a shot to the head/eye unsure but helmet is off on the sideline with a trainer.. Walking off okay
Looks like McKinnon, towel on his head, may be headed to trainer's table

Goal line work and Asiata plunged into the end zone three times. Twice to the left, once to the right.

Rudolph sets up Greenway nicely as he ran a drag across the middle. Teddy hit him in stride.
Pressley with a nice run to the inside that he kicked outside. Good moves to shake a couple defenders.
Laquon Treadwell and Jabari Price with a tussle. Wind up on the ground and have to be separated. Treadwell emerges without a helmet.
That was the second brouhaha today. Asiata-Lamur was the undercard.
Audie Cole with good coverage on Pressley in the flat. Jhurrell could have caught pass, but he dropped it.
An errant Stave pass over the middle is picked by safety Jayron Kearse.
Kearse has been around the ball for most of camp. Always ready to drop the shoulder too. Had a good last two days.

Team drill now. Starts off with Robison beating T.J. Clemmings for what would have been a sack. Good move by B-Rob. Clemmings does look better this year.
Teddy with a nice throw on an out to Diggs who got a slight step on Newman.
Johnson sets Waynes up outside and comes back on the ball for a completion.
11s.. CJ good route on deep in with Waynes in coverage low thrown ball dives to make the catch
Teddy finally takes a shot deep on left sideline to Thielen .. Rhodes step for step giving him zero leverage... Ball overthrown by two steps
Teddy tries a fade deep to Thielen and steps into the pocket. Rhodes with great coverage. Just missed a completion.
Things chippy today..Now Exum goes full speed to slip Wright after catch underneath... Wright caught off guard goes down hard after contact
Audie Cole sniffs out the play as a dragging Pruitt tries to haul in a pass. Cole broke it up.
Biggest reaction from crowd in stands today comes from Zimmer throwing out explicit language to defense... Fans loving Zims attitude
