Our defensive backfield is as promising as I've ever seen! We all talk about Rhodes, Waynes and Alexander but lets not forget we have Munnerlyn and Newman as well. Not to mention we have arguably the best safety in the NFL back there as well. Our defensive backfield is just straight up loaded right nowPurpleKoolaid wrote:Great video. Looks like we got a high character guy as well. He, Waynes and Rhodes are going to be quite a force to deal with. Alexander doesnt let the ball come near the receivers.

That's awesome. I really enjoyed his presser at the combine AND he seems like a decent fellow.dead_poet wrote:

I have to admit when i first heard the pick, I was not thrilled, at all.
The more I read about this guy and see the happier I get. Hopefully
he is a shut down corner for us in time.

Just wish he had better hands. When they were evaluating him on espn the showed a lot of dropped INT chances. Still like the pick though. I'm surprised Zimmer didn't like this guy as a potential convert to corner due to his poor tackling:

He went three picks later to Indy.

I wouldn't assume Zimmer didn't like him, but they only had one 2nd round pick. He's sure got the Ht/Wt/Spd thing going for him.Maelstrom88 wrote:Just wish he had better hands. Re: Vikings draft CB Mackenzie Alexander
He couldnt be a Vikings CB if he actually made some INT's. Just hoping his D is as sound as alot of the people say.

ahh if he can shut down a top guy the majority of the time, I am good with him.He couldnt be a Vikings CB if he actually made some INT's. Just hoping his D is as sound as alot of the people say.
I'll admit picks are great, but keeping them from scoring wins games....
