@christomasson Captain Munnerlyn on strong play of rookie Anthony Harris in 1st game "I feel like a proud father I’m about to cry because he played so well
Then let's see more of him. At the expense of Sendejo the human blind squirrel missile.

@christomasson Terence Newman on safety vs. corner: "It's definitely easier. You don't have to run backward when some dude is running full speed forward.''
@christomasson Why Terence Newman survives in NFL: "We had a Christmas party last nite (Mall of A) & I was in here watching film It’s a big game this week"

@mattvensel In addition to DTs Phil Taylor and Euclid Cummings, the #Vikings also worked out OT Colin Kelly and DBs Courtney Stephen and Steven Clark.

Mike Zimmer doesn't want Vikings to be 'yo-yoing'
Now the coach of the Minnesota Vikings, Zimmer is trying to avoid his squad becoming what Parcells used to call a "yo-yo" team.

"Up one week, down the next," Zimmer said Wednesday, via the Minnesota Star Tribune. "He wanted the same guys all the time."

When helping construct a roster, Zimmer said he tries to identify players who would be subject to yo-yoing, which can become contagious.

"It's a combination of a lot of things," Zimmer said when asked how the team goes about trying to identify mental toughness. "You talk to a lot of their coaches. What kind of competitor is a guy? How does he handle adversity? How smart is he? Is he moody on the practice field? Does he pay attention in meetings? There's a big combination of things that helps figure it out. How does he react when you get after him? How is the best way to coach this guy? Does he put the team first? Is he all about stats?"

Enjoyed talking with Bill Parcells today. One thing that's clear: He's very much invested in what #Vikings are doing. Watching every game.

I agree. They have really helped out the Vikings, and it was nice to see them outside again. Hopefully there is more than one game left at TCF Bank Stadium :)

I think you mean two more games. One Sunday against the Giants, and another against, say, the Packers. Man, I really don't want to see the Seahawks in the playoffs - it's a bad matchup for us. I'd rather play Carolina.

@christomasson #Vikings sign rookie LB Alex Singleton to practice squad. Takes place of Zach Moore, who was elevated last Saturday to active roster.
