Re: Lions-Packers TNF
well so far I have seen everyone but packer fans say there was no facemask. Columists, commenters on different articles, posters on here. You're basically alone on this one, should tell you enough of what you need to know. Your bias is showing
if that is a blatant grasp or hook, I don't see it. And even if it were, it clearly states in the rule book that if the facemask is grasped, it must be released immediately. I don't see how you could even conceive the argument that it was not immediately released

Rulebook also requires grasping AND control, turn, twist, or pull. There was no grasp, so the others have no value in any argument.Jordysghost wrote:Tsonn, I didn't want to mess with mad qoutes but having a hand inside the helmet pushing a facemask constitutes a turn of the facemask. His thumb catches the side of his facebar and causes his head to jerk right.me4get wrote:Rulebook also requires grasping AND control, turn, twist, or pull.

“No player shall grasp AND control, twist, turn, push, or pull the facemask of an opponent in any direction"
in case you didn't see it the first time. And then this
"If a player grasps an opponent’s facemask, he must immediately release it. If he does not immediately release it and controls his opponent, it is a foul."
in case you didn't see it the first time. And then this
"If a player grasps an opponent’s facemask, he must immediately release it. If he does not immediately release it and controls his opponent, it is a foul."

and if you scroll back to my first post right after the face mask I called bs on it the second they called it. I was watching in HD and that didn't even look it to me in #### normal speed.

no grasp no foul!!! Pushing is against the flow of the play. Rodgers head went with the flow of the play.Jordysghost wrote: His thumb catches the side of his facebar and causes his head to jerk right.

Jordy is not really grasping what a grasp is. Too easy?

I've already betrayed my own word by continuing in this thread, If you wish to further discuss this a more appropriate thread would suffice.

I was disputing that there was no hook, and also that Rodgers head wasn't forced that way. But again, not this thread for me.me4get wrote: no grasp no foul!!! Pushing is against the flow of the play. Rodgers head went with the flow of the play.

Same here. Looked like he grabbed near his shoulder/shoulder pad and ripped him down. The replay just confirmed it.Skoltastic_Voyage wrote:and if you scroll back to my first post right after the face mask I called bs on it the second they called it.
