I don't think he's very well known outside of Minnesota. But I'm pretty surprised as well. There are a lot of teams in need of a competent pass-catching TE. All the better for us.

@christomasson Eric Kendricks is doubtful for Sunday. He said he will make the trip to Oakland. Expect Brandon Watts to start, with Chad Greenway in middle

@Andrew_Krammer Robison on #Vikings' "subtle" in-game adjustments by Zimmer:"I think he’s one of the best defensive minds in the game, if not the best."

I wouldn't to be an offensive coordinator going up against him.
Does Zimmer call the defensive plays? I keep wondering how much credit we should be giving poor, overlooked George Edwards. He must have something to do with the defense's success, right?
@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer: "I think our players will know" significance of this week vs. Green Bay. "Don't need a magic wand." Just shirts, which were his idea

I wonder what Edwards does then. I guess just run the practices, and learn from Zimmer the plays he should be calling when the time comes. Would be nice to have stability with the coaching staff for more then 3 years.

I've thought about that too. Norv is done as a head coach and Edwards seems unlikely to get tabbed as a HC candidate. We could have these guys together for a long time. The younger Turner and younger Zimmer might be the guys most likely to move on.

I was hopeful that the Younger Turner and Younger Zimmer would stay with the team, eventually ending up as the OC and DC. Then having one of them replace Zimmer down the road. I know it's a pipeline dream and unrealistic. But I has hopeful that we could grow our own coach.
