It's probably fan perception that first-rounders are expected to play from day 1. I think that's probably the hope, but a lot depends on readiness and depth. Newman didn't have terrible coverage there, did he?

Yes he is. When he starts getting all riled up, the rest of the D plays better.

It was a bad throw into double coverage, penalty or not - that's my point.

According to who? I doubt they ever intended to start Waynes from day one. I think Zimmer wanted the veteran who knew his system starting and wanted to give Waynes time to develop.

I think Newman has played well this year.

@GoesslingESPN Teddy Bridgewater 8-for-10 for 79 yards in the first quarter. Hit 8 different receivers, targeted 9.
Digging the hard counts/altered snap counts and Turner's game plan thus far. Let's get 7 here.

Please don't circumvent the word filter. It's there for a reason.

@Andrew_Krammer: Norv's "equal-opportunity offense" has resulted in 8 completions to 8 different receivers in the first quarter.

Do you watch games now just to #### on Teddy? What do you want to happen?
Yeah you're right that's what I do. I was simply saying it was yet another bad overthrow. What do I want to happen? I want him to complete a damn deep pass to a wide open WR. Don't you want that to happen to? Or do you want to continue to make excuses every time he throws a bad pass
