No your not getting it. I understand quite well how vegas odds work, but vegas odds do not equal reality, this is not an upset if the vikings win, not at all. Your seriously proving my point, vegas odds are bunch of crap, and shouldn't be considered to be representative of who is actually a favirote or an underdog.Purple Reign wrote: Your comments make me think you still don't get it. Vegas is not saying 2-4 > 4-2 as far as talent goes, just that it want's more money to be bet on the 4-2 team.

I feel like we've been here a few times already this season. Vikings need to step on the throttle instead of dominating the game, but settling for FG's. Develop the killer instinct and start putting this out of reach instead of letting Chicago hang around to make this closer than it should be in end.

Let me put it this way I would be fired so fast as a ref... You're probably right I'm the paranoid sort though.Purple Reign wrote: Only if they have money bet on the game.

I never once disputed how Vegas odds worked, on the contrary, my only point is that they should not be considered truly representative of who should actually be favored. And that is true. In no way does it make any logical sense for the Bears to be favored in this game.VikingPaul73 wrote:

Re: Vikings @ Bears Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 8
Vegas is all about them making money - nothing else. They don't give a crap about which team is 'better'. So yes, anyone claiming that one team is better (a favorite) than another team based only on the Vegas line is pretty naive.Jordysghost wrote: No your not getting it.
