I'll try to find the moment he pulled up in the broncos game. I think it was during the last drive. I'll post the mark if I can find it so those who still have access can view it for themselves. I think he pulled a little hamstring or something.Purple bruise wrote: I hope that Wallace did not get into trouble

13:57 in the second QTR. I was way off on when this happened! Wallace clearly pulls up. Best view is from the wide shot from behind the play. He played the rest of the game so it wasn't too severe.Purple bruise wrote: Thank you, much appreciated

Let's hope not. It's a bit concerning, though, that if it was mild that he wasn't able to practice in any capacity yesterday. Hopefully he ramps up his participation as the week goes on.fiestavike wrote: He played the rest of the game so it wasn't too severe.

@Andrew_Krammer Mike Harris reiterating what many said from #Vikings after Denver game, teams bringing new pressure looks vs. this line. Expect same from KC
@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer on O-line: "Its a lot like the secondary," in how they need continuity to play well. As we continue, they'll improve.
@christomasson Mike Zimmer said how coaches keep jobs is winning games. Knows sometimes stats won't be great. #Vikings No. 23 in NFL in scoring
@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer said the strong safety spot "is fluid" still. Hasn't found option he's totally comfortable in between Blanton, Sendejo, Exum
@christomasson Mike Zimmer said Anthony Harris has better chance of being called up to 53-man roster now than Brock Vereen.
@Andrew_Krammer Zimmer said #Vikings' last game at Denver can help prepare for KC "a little bit," saying they have similar edge pressure, but varied fronts.

http://www.startribune.com/the-fluid-si ... 332786491/Q: Has Antone Exum made progress?
Zimmer: “Some. We’ll see how he does this week.”
Q: Is he a candidate to get more playing time?
Zimmer: “Potentially. If I feel good about him.”

I imagine we can expect it from most opponents until the Vikes beat it enough to dissuade teams from using that strategy.@Andrew_Krammer Mike Harris reiterating what many said from #Vikings after Denver game, teams bringing new pressure looks vs. this line. Expect same from KC

Zimmer's latest press conference (video and transcript):

Bridgewater's latest presser is there too.
A few quotes from Zimmer:
http://www.vikings.com/news/article-1/T ... 9b2da8b313
Bridgewater's latest presser is there too.
A few quotes from Zimmer:
A few questions later, he was asked:Q: You are number two in rushing, but 32nd in the league in passing. How important is it to get a little more balance in that particular area?
A: How are we in scoring points per game? That’s all I care about, wins and scoring points per game.
In the question below "that part of the game" refers to situational football.Q: How do you assess being 23rd in scoring and 6th in points allowed per game?
A: Well, we’d like to score more points than that. Obviously we want to be in the top 10 in everything. It’s more about sustaining drives. When we convert third downs like we did, we need to convert into points, so that’s part of it, part of it is that. Honestly, it’s nice but more important is winning games and scoring points, so that’s the most important one.
Q: How do you think Teddy Bridgewater has done in growing and learning that part of the game?
A: I think he’s good. Where are we at in turnover margin? I think we’re pretty good, but you can check on it. I think that’s been good. We’re taking good care of the football offensively, and so that is a big factor in today’s NFL. Sometimes he’s careful with the ball, but that’s not a bad thing. Sometimes it’s good to punt, change the field position, but we’d much rather have that than turn the ball over. I do think he continues to do a good job of that. That’s what he did last year and that’s what he continues to do this year is those things. And the rest of it will continue to get better with him.
Q: It always seems like good teams find a way to win this league. Do you want to expand on that notion?
A: That’s the most important thing in this league. That’s what keeps coaches their jobs is if you win. Would I like to be great every Sunday we go out? Absolutely. Am I upset if we win and we don’t play good? Yes, because I have high expectations, but the most important thing to me is winning. It’s not going to be perfect every Sunday and that’s why I keep reminding our guys that this is a team, it’s not an offense or a defense or a special teams. It’s how can you help us win? What can you do in your job to help us win as a football team? And some if it might be field position, securing the double-team, just a lot of things that I’ve just been a firm believer in those things. The best team on Sunday wins, not necessarily the best team for the rest of the year, but in that particular day, who is going to win?
Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
That last quote is why I see Zimmer as having such high potential to be a great HC. He's basically defining synergy, which is an overused corporate word these days but ultimately rings true. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Play for the guy to your left and your right, not for yourself. That's how you win games (and pretty much life in general).

Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
@christomasson #Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards said there's a "possibility" safety Anthony Harris could soon be called up to 53-man roster.
@christomasson While there is talk of Anthony Harris on the 53-man, roster spots at a premium over the next few weeks with Sullivan, J Robinson soon back.
@christomasson Mike Priefer on Edmond Robinson now on special teams: "I think he's going to do a great job for us.''
@christomasson Mike Priefer said Edmond Robinson hung in there when he wasn't playing and now he's "ready to go.''
-- interesting comment. I wonder what prompted it. Also notable he mentioned Sherels and not Diggs.@christomasson Mike Priefer said he would feel comfortable if he needed Marcus Sherels to return kickoffs.
@christomasson Norv Turner said Kansas City might say it's running a 3-4 but they have multiple fronts.

Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
I'm guessing it was prompted by the possibility they could have 6 receivers healthy enough to play. He also tweeted:dead_poet wrote:-- interesting comment. I wonder what prompted it. Also notable he mentioned Sherels and not Diggs.
Combine that with the comment about roster spots being at a premium soon and I'm guessing the subject came up within that context.@christomasson
Norv Turner sidestepped a question on what #Vikings do in terms of activations Sunday if all 6 receivers available. Doesn't want to tell KC
In a nutshell, I assume someone is thinking Patterson could end up being inactive, if not this week then soon.
Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
For example:
http://www.scout.com/nfl/vikings/story/ ... ate-future
http://www.scout.com/nfl/vikings/story/ ... ate-future
To date, the Vikings haven’t had six active wide receivers on the roster on game day. Diggs was inactive the first three games. Johnson was inactive against Denver.
Will the Vikings trim a player at another position to keep six wide receivers on the roster? Marcus Sherels can return kickoffs. So can Diggs and Thielen. Presumably, so can about a half-dozen other players.
In his last 10 games, Patterson has been targeted for 10 passes. Is that justification for keeping him on the active roster when there are other players who have clearly been used much more effectively in Norv Turner’s offense?

Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
This is pretty depressing if it's coming to that. If that's the case, I'd be pretty surprised if he isn't traded. It seems that's the best and most likely outcome at this point for both parties if Rick can get good value (whatever "good" means). I wonder if his career might end up like a Ted Ginn more so than a Larry Fitzgerald. If Rick trades him away I'd almost hope so because if he gets traded four a fourth-rounder and ends up a superstar that's going to sting on a number of levels.

Re: 2015 Season General Comments (pressers, practice notes,
I doubt they could get a 4th rounder for him at this point. Justifiable or not, they've de-valued him by using him so sparingly. It would definitely sting if he went elsewhere and became a star.dead_poet wrote:This is pretty depressing if it's coming to that. If that's the case, I'd be pretty surprised if he isn't traded. I agree that it's going to be pretty depressing if they start listing him as an inactive. A trade looks more and more likely.

Honestly don't see any reason to keep Patterson active. Diggs can take on his role and then some.
