@WillBrinson: “We’ll take Marcus Mariota.”
“He’s gone Chip. Pick someone else.”
“Mariota.”
“Someone else Chip.”
“Marc—“

Re: 2015 NFL Draft thread
Starting to wonder if Tomlinson will be there for our 2nd pick.

No, cause tons of other people did too. Hopefully Waynes ends up proving us all wrong that don't like the pick, doesn't mean we have to automatically agree with every pick the FO makes.
That's not what I'm saying. Don't like the pick all you want. I'm speaking specifically about the exact quote about his change of direction ability. Mike Zimmer is an elite defensive coach who's specialized with DBs his entire career. I think if he says a player has good change of direction, I find it very hard to believe the exact opposite as many on this board and Arif Hassan seem to.

@Andrew_Krammer: Waynes is the third 6'0" or taller CB added by #Vikings this offseason, highest profile by far. Other 2: Jalil Carter, DeMarcus Van Dyke

Perriman still on the board. Would the Vikings trade back in the 1st for him?

Waynes didn't end up the highest-rated corner on so many boards by accident. The guy can play. Reading some of the comments here, you'd think the Vikes selected a projected 5th rounder at #11, who gave up 150 yards receiving per game and 12 TDs a season. He has size and speed, two of the most desirable qualities in a corner and two you can't coach. He's a press man corner, exactly what Zimmer's defense requires. This could prove to be a very, very good pick.

I'm guessing we'll have to wait until tomorrow for another Vikes pick and I expect them to be looking at guard and LB tomorrow night. It should be interesting...
Re: 2015 NFL Draft thread
If we can get Kendricks and one of the top guards in the 3rd (preferably AJ Cann but I don't think he'll last that long), that would be an ideal top 3 rounds for me.

@AdamSchefter: Arizona picked, Dallas picked, so Minnesota stayed true to its word: No Adrian Peterson trade. Remains a Viking. As they said.

Re: 2015 NFL Draft thread
Panthers take Shaq Thompson, a LB that I was really hoped was there for us in round 2. Not so much a reach the late 1st round but still he had a 2nd/3rd round grade on him though
