Same old story.
We found the next Chrisshunn Ponner for a while till everything blows up.
I've lost all faith. I was desperately trying to cling to it, even though I knew better.
Deja Vu
Let's put Bridgewaters game against Detroit into perspective. Detroit has a top Defense. No bones about it. How's this for a QB line for a game against Detroit
That's Rodgers line from when the Packers played Detroit in week 3. Now I am not comparing Teddy to Rodgers, but just showing how good the Detroit defense can be. So people need to step back from the ledge and be patient. One or two games does not make a QB.
Vikings fan since Nov. 6, 1966. Annoying Packer fans since Nov. 7, 1966

Not a top defense, THE top defense. Their stats so far are surpassing what Seattle did last year. Look at any meaningful defensive stat, it's likely Detroit is #1 or #2.
Still, an Orton led Buffalo team did manage to put up 300yds passing and beat the Lions. PFF also currently ranks the Bills OL (thru week 5) as the worst in league (#32).
that list of players we can win with is a little off IMO. If you watch the tape from the Detroit game, Jennings was wide open a handful of times and Bridgewater missed him. But that's a rookie mistake that he will grow out of. Here is who I would add to your list.
Jennings - Can still be a really good possession receiver if we have an oline that gives teddy time to throw. so far Jennings runs the best routes by far on this team
Ford- good TE that is growing, big target that has great hands
Kalil- better than Phil, Phil is horrible. he got burned worse than almost anyone on that line during passing. Kalil has the potential, we all have seen it.
Mauti - good special teams player, and I think he is getting better and may see some playing time this season.
Blanton - considering where he was last year and where he is at now, he is easily progressing and is definitely worth a roster spot
Theilen - this kid needs to be put on the field, he has the hands and can run the routes.
Johnson - Charles looked goo the two times he was targeted and he is fast and got great separation. Nice signing
Felton: I think Felton is a great FB that can open holes for Mckinnon and next year Todd Gurley(sorry, I had to). Kind of like the Alstott/Dunn one-two punch the Bucs had when they won the SB in 2002
KEEP BUT CANT WIN WITH THEM AS STARTERS:
Griffen is not good enough to be a starting Right DE. We need to put someone else out there or he needs to start showing up
Brinkley is nothing but a run stopper, he is nothing special. A good backup or filler but not a starter IMO. If he was good, he wouldn't have been cut by the cardinals.
Antone Exum has not shown a single thing, except for he knows how to get a penalty for UR. I would still keep him just because he is young and I haven't seen him enough.
Realistically your list is not possible. No way to move that many players in a season and on top of that find replacements.

Along with holding onto the ball too long, and taking forever to go through his reads...it doesn't look like Teddy should be on that list.
Seeing as it was his second game as a starter, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt right now based on my belief that he has the potential to learn from those mistakes and overcome them.

According to ESPN. Teddys avg time per pass attempt was 2.49 secs. 9th fastest among all starters this week. Avg time in the pocket was 2.29 secs. Also 9th in the league this week. Guess that is not quick enough for some.

I was once told by a moderator on this board (via Mark Twain) that there are three types of lies ... lies, damn lies, and statistics. ESPN lies. Teddy clearly sucks, evidenced by the fact the Vikings have done jack since drafting him. Get over it.

LEAFMAN THE PURPLE FAN
Jeesh you really think the guy sucks already? The dude is a rookie, he has plenty of time to "Get it". I know that it is annoying not having immediate production to your liking but comon, he is a rookie.
