Losing Peterson really hurt. Especially when we have NO ONE to replace him. Which means, the defenses can keep CP from doing much damage, since he never has been a good WR, heck he only played WR for a year. (thanks Rickie for no talented threat WRs-and that includes Jennings).

I think Ford (and the other TE's) do as good as Kyle did. Pro Bowls don't count.

Playing Teddy before he should have started (thanks Rickie for all this talent with the QB's) isn't good. We can only hope his confidence doesn't get shattered.

Teddy is a big boy, he can handle this. He is the best option we have atm as well. Teddy will get it, just wait and see, we have our guy.

I think the defense is doing more than alright, we really struggled on 3rd down and held the lions to just 1 for 13 so that's pretty impressive. It's a good sign imo when we identified the area we struggled in and then come out and do that, megatron or not. By all accounts the defense really played well enough to win that game, only giving up 17, despite the offense pretty much doing nothing.

Great post, Mondry, and I think you're absolutely right about the defense ... they're pretty good. They start slowly, but make adjustments and then go into lock-down mode. Their relative "softness" in the 4th quarter can be entirely attributed to exhaustion, IMO, because the offense just can't sustain anything to give them much-needed intragame rest.

Consider this ... the Viking defense is fourth in the NFL in forcing 3-and-outs, and that is the most important defensive statistic in all of football, so that is a very bright spot on this team. They have certainly given the offense plenty of chances to win against New England, New Orleans and Detroit.
