5 turnovers vs the Pats. 3 in 1st half vs GB. I'm not saying they would have won but it could have made a big difference in each game had they not turned the ball over.

This can't be said enough. We all said we would be happy if the team could manage that when the schedule came out, and I think we should be. This team looks capable of making a run if we can clean up a few things...especially if we get Rudolph and Peterson back down the stretch.

My sentiments exactly. I would add Floyd and Joseph as part of the core, I think they're a solid, young tackle duo.

REST OF NFC NORTH HAS WORST OF SCHEDULE TO GO

Given Detroit’s schedule, which includes a London trip against Atlanta and road games against Arizona, New England, Chicago and Green Bay, it smells like downtown Detroit – not good.

The Bears have tough road games coming up today against Carolina and at Atlanta in eight days. With four of their next five games on the road – at Carolina, Atlanta, New England and Green Bay – there is plenty of reason for concern in Chicago.

Yeah, Detroit looked very beatable today (losing to kyle orton and the Bills LOL) and chicago lost again. Winning next week with Teddy would be huge for this team to have a real obvious choice for team leader.

Detroits offense looked sluggish without Calvin Johnson or Reggie Bush. Their defense looks like a tough puzzle for us to solve. I don't think we'll have any success running against them. Hopefully Calvin and Reggie will be out next week as well.

The main positive for me is that things really can't get much worse. The team has suffered very significant injuries to key players on both sides of the ball and lost the major focus of it's offensive attack due to circumstances I doubt anyone could have predicted prior to the start of this season. Most teams can absorb one or two injured players, but when big names go down in relatively high numbers on both sides of the ball, it's asking a lot to expect any team to not miss a beat under those circumstances.

A secondary positive for me is the play of Bridgewater. I'm not an advocate for throwing rookie QBs into the line of fire, especially when the rookie QB has to go in without said star RB to take the pressure off. While Bridgewater just really had a single full game under center and it's probably too early to tell for sure, he sure looked like he could handle the pressure and then some. I joke with Jim a lot about the importance of QB in the modern game, and while I do admit that the QB isn't "everything" (there you go, Jim - I am admitting that), solid QB play can compensate for a lot of other shortcomings. The best part of it is, Bridgewater is a rookie. If he's the real deal, we have a lot to look forward to over the next decade.

I think when it comes to starting rookie QB's it can be both good or bad, but it's kind of obvious imo. Like if you start Russell Wilson or Andrew Luck or Teddy Bridgewater it's fine. If you start Ponder it's probably bad. It has to do with their personalities, those first 3 guys are fearless and can't be shaken.

I know that injuries are part of the game, but it could be a lot worse after losing a starting QB, RB, & TE for significant time. I'll take 2-3 due to all the distractions caused by Peterson.

The first half of the schedule is brutal and I honestly was hoping for the team be 4-4 before all this happened.

Bright spotsfor me has been the play of Harrison Smith and I look forward to the growth of Teddy Bridgewater.
