Amen brother. But Childress and Fraizer never have.BGM wrote:Really hate the playcalling that ended up being playing not to lose instead of closing the door on a team that had lost momentum. Getting no points after that interception was appalling and the point I knew the game was lost. I really wanted them to go for it on that fourth down and not run that STUPID draw them offside thing they always try that never works, because EVERYONE in the building knew it was coming.
The missed XP hurt. The defensive breakdown on the last drive was abysmal. But when you are 1-6 and need a win, you slam the door shut if you are given the opportunity.

Why didn't they sub in Cassel to throw the Hail Mary? Is Fraizer literally brain dead on the sidelines?

Game was right there for the taking but the reason we are 1-7 is we are not good enough in any aspect of the game to win games like this . I really really think they may want to re evaluate their fourth quarter prevent defense strategy , I mean how many games do they have to lose on the final drive to understand it just isn't working ? I honestly think Williams is way worse than Musgrave .
LETS GO VIKINGS !

Re: Vikings @ Cowboys Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 9
Didn't Frazier opt to go for it on two 4th downs inside or near the red zone instead of opting for a safer FG? The Vikes didn't convert the first, but AD did get a TD on the second. Regardless, I'd say that's pretty aggressive. Being "safe" would have been opting for a FG on both of those 4th downs deep in the Cowboys' territory.Purplemania wrote: Yup. That has happened in 3 games this year, and Frazier just refuses to go get the win. He rather play not to lose, and only once against the Steelers has he gotten away with it. You have to be the aggressive if you want to win. You need to give this team a chance to put it away.

the defense did a great job considering the multitude of injuries in the secondary. look at how poorly they played last week. rodgers is better than romo but romo has better weapons. i expected this to be a blowout but the defense kept them in it. yes, it's incredibly frustrating to lose on the final drive yet again, but you can't miss an XP, fumble in the endzone and go 3 and out after a turnover late in the game.

Walsh missed a FG today? When?PurpleKoolaid wrote:He missed an extra point AND a FG. He always gets credit, why doesn't he get blame?

why did we NOT try for the FG? Is there something wrong with Walsh or are we truing to lose? We had this game won until the last drive of the game and our defense gave up.
Re: Vikings @ Cowboys Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 9
it was a 54 yard FG. not ever a gimme, especially when the guy just shanked one off the upright. had they tried and missed, dallas gets the ball at their 44. you're practically giving them the tie.PondertoJennings wrote:why did we NOT try for the FG? I'd draft Johnathan Football if we get the chance.
Re: Vikings @ Cowboys Game Day Discussion Thread -- Week 9
Walsh is still hurt. You can tell just by the depth of his kickoffs, and it was also likely a reason for the missed PAT. He wouldn't have stood a chance on a 54 yarder.

Agreed. Time ti draft our franchise qb. To bad we signed Freeman and NEVER game up the chance to play. He is not hurt and should have started today! I wish I was Josh, making 2 million for sitting on the bench,
