I didn't get to see any of the game, just got some internet updates from time to time.....from what I could tell, the D gave this one away at the end, is that accurate?

The coaches have to know his range, ya know.... Why not put Cassel, or Webb in for the long throw. You gotta give the receivers at least a sliver of a chance.

Ill bet money that the ESPN guys eat that throw up when they do their CMONNN MANNN. Vikings have a chance all they need is for ponder to throw the ball into the end zone. Ponder steps back, has time, winds up...and..and...whaaaa?? CMONNNN MAN!?!?

I mean, someone had to know that Ponder couldn't reach the end zone, right? Ponder? Coaching? Anyone? Put someone in there who can at least ATTEMPT the shot to the end zone. Wow. Embarrassing.
It's been fun, boys. I'm going back to sleep!
Proud of the guys today.

Can't even make it into the endonze? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
It did have the advantage that the defense did not expect it.

Really hate the playcalling that ended up being playing not to lose instead of closing the door on a team that had lost momentum. Getting no points after that interception was appalling and the point I knew the game was lost. I really wanted them to go for it on that fourth down and not run that STUPID draw them offside thing they always try that never works, because EVERYONE in the building knew it was coming.
The missed XP hurt. The defensive breakdown on the last drive was abysmal. But when you are 1-6 and need a win, you slam the door shut if you are given the opportunity.

Coaching stuff is too dumb, this team will be hard to cheer for after a.p is gone.soflavike wrote:The coaches have to know his range, ya know.... Why not put Cassel, or Webb in for the long throw. You gotta give the receivers at least a sliver of a chance.

Completely? No, but we got an INT right at the end and went 3 and out. Ponder was quick to run on that 3rd down and jennings was open. Ponder also had 2 turnovers to 2 touchdowns. We can't ask for better than a 1:1 ratio?JBrowner47 wrote:I can't put these last 2 losses on Ponder. We put points up on the board but the defense is really to blame. I know we would rather put it on a single person (Ponder) because replacing one player is much easier than replacing the whole defense.
Walsh sucked, ponder played like ponder, and the defense failed at the end.

I don't know. I fell asleep at half-time and woke up at the end of the third quarter. If he did miss a FG it was in the 3rd, but IDK.808vikingsfan wrote:

Time to take the decals and Vikings hitch off the truck, id be too embarrassed to drive around with it. I have been wondering why people drive by me and laugh, I think I know why now.

I thought the defense played fairly well today.

I'll keep my Vikings license plate frame. They can laugh but when I put the pedal to the floor, they won't be driving by me.Canuck wrote:Time to take the decals and Vikings hitch off the truck, id be too embarrassed to drive around with it.
