QB

Personally, I'd love to see them give Vince Young a shot.

Sadly, I don't think Cassel is any better. Never thought much of Young.
The difference between men is not lack of strength, not lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

I voted Cassel.

Sadly, this Vikings staff has completely neglected the most important position on the field. And we are stuck with Cassel. But who knows, with NE, he at least showed he could play and be a leader. Ponder NEVER has.

Voted Ponder for obvious reasons.

I pretended to vote for Joe Webb, they need to convert him back to QB, and give him the many chances they have given Ponder so far. Vince Young... no thank you it will be Donna Mclfabb all over again.

Ponder = Tjack . If you can't see it You must be blind. Absolutely ZERO progression since his rookie season. Going no where fast. we've already wasted 2 years of AD's prime on him. Dump him now.

Yep. And we had to wait until TJoke got injured to see Gus. Who everyone said was a complete waste of space. Wasn't worth playing. TJoke was better than him...same situation new cast. Except the team was 8-2 with Gus. Cassel gives us a better chance to win than Ponder, it's as simple as that.

Had to vote for Cassel, I don't pin the entire loss on ponder, and i would miss the scramblability, but despite more long throws our wide receivers HAD to make highlight reel catches because the passes were that bad. I feel that our offense needs a game manager who can pass well. And i think we have that in Cassel. Unfortunately we will have to suffer several more losses before the switch will be made and by then it will be too late. We need to go 5-0 or 4-1 to start the season to even have a chance of going .500.

on a side note. Our O-line didn't do any favors for Ponder or Peterson today, just horrendous.

It's unfortunate that it may take a 1-3 or an 0-4 start to make a quarterback change, and that might not even do it. This reminds me of the Cowboys in 2001. No matter how bad Quincy Carter was, and how he proved it during his first season, J. Jones would not admit that his first round QB draft choice was no NFL QB. It took 4 years for a change. The Vikings front office may stand in the same side of the room as the Cowboys did then. Owners/GMs are obviously successful people, and admitting mistakes is harder then accepting them!

Don't pick a fight with an old Viking. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.

I don't know if Webb would be a good QB, but he certainly wasn't given the chances that Ponder has. One bad game in GB for Ponder (look up his 2012 stats in that game) earns him another dozen starts. One bad game in GB for Webb (when he had no prep time) and we change his position.

Come on man, Webb was just as lost as Ponder out there. Neither of them has any business being a QB in the NFL....

Cassel should be removed because if the Vikings go that route then they may as well try MBT.
