Noga would drive me nuts because he jumped offsides every game.S197 wrote:Sauce and Al Noga.

The Devil whispered in the Viking's ear, "There's a storm coming." The Viking replied, "I am the storm." #SKOL2018

Nate Burleson
man was he a beast on Madden. I broke my B button by throwing him Hail Marys 10 times a game.
I always think Darren Sharper is pretty underrated. Most people think he is a good player and all but he is probably one of my favorite Vikings of all time.

I was wondering if I would see Rick Fenney in this discussion, How bout Scotty Gramm? not sure I spelled that right.

Wow, that's a former Vikings player I haven't thought about in a long time! He came off the bench and played some good games for Green's early teams.dkoby wrote: I was wondering if I would see Rick Fenney in this discussion, How bout Scotty Gramm? not sure I spelled that right.
By the way, I think it's spelled "Scottie Graham" but either way, we know who you're talking about.

I'm surprised Henry Thomas hasn't come up yet. I think he made the Pro Bowl a few times so maybe that's why but "Hardware Hank" was an excellent interior defensive lineman.
Re: Two most favorite none star Vikings player?
He played safety for the Vikes in the late '70s and early '80s but for some reason, I honestly don't remember much about him.Jeffbleedspurple wrote:So who was Tommy Hannon? I don't remember that name at all.
Re: Two most favorite none star Vikings player?
Orlando Thomas and Chris Walsh. (IMHO he was better than Palmer).

Re: Two most favorite none star Vikings player?
He and Palmer had pretty different roles so it's hard for me to compare them but Walsh was definitely fun to watch. He was one of those hard working, "underdog" players fans just embrace.Just Me wrote:Orlando Thomas and Chris Walsh. (IMHO he was better than Palmer).

Noga, Thomas, Millard and Doleman were a complete set of stars in my eyes, One of the best defensive lines as a group.Jeffbleedspurple wrote: Al Noga! When you line up with Doleman and Millard in hte ranks you should be able to do some good things

I was one of Jackson's biggest critics (as a starter) but even I concede he was a decent back-up. (He certainly would have been better than Webb). I don't think there was anyone that didn't like him as a person.80 PurplePride 84 wrote:
I always liked T-Jack the person and I think you could do worse at backup, despite what most Vikings fans would have you think.
Despite his on fields struggles, I gained respect for him for never complaining or anything while Chilly dicked him around for 5 years. The guy was a mid-late round backup type from the start but the all knowing Bald Clueless thought he could groom the next McNabb and reached for him in the 2nd.

Chris Hovan for a while there...had a soft spot for Wiggins too!
