Not Viking related but a lot of fans were disappointed when the Vikings did not get McCoy.

McCoy isn't the type of QB the Vikings needed as a back-up. Matt Cassel is the best option because he had a career as a back-up and he's older than McCoy thus can offer more mentoring to Ponder. McCoy can't teach Ponder, he's still learning himself

49ers reached agreement on a one-year deal with former Eagles CB Nnamdi Asomugha. One-year deal between 49ers and CB Nnamdi Asomugha is worth up to $3 million.
