Trade for Tebow! He sucks but he's a winner! I bet we'd make the playoffs with him!

Yeah but what if it worked? Who cares about the media if we win?

I doubt it would work. My opinion is that Tebow sucks, so all it would be is one giant sideshow. Tebow isn't a real qb and people falsely say "But he just wins!", even though he really doesn't.

3 things, with Cook out for the season, no way our defense can handle 3 1/2 quarters of 3 and outs like Denver did last year.

Second, no way in hell I would ever waste three hours of my life watching that pos pretending to be a QB. Tebows fanbase is the worst cancer a team can ever have.

Finally, Joe Webb is as good, if not better than Tebow.

OK, the Favre reference was actually kind of amusing.

The Tebow idea is not. The guy stinks, period.

Look, I'm no Skip Bayless, but you guys are being ridiculous. He isn't half as bad as you say.

He can't get any real playing time at QB behind one of the most criticized(and one of the worst nfl rated) qb's in the league. Yes, he is that bad.

Solid points. This isn't a Jets board, so I'm not going to discuss it further, but I don't see it that way at all.

I agree.

He's twice as bad.

I wouldn't be opposed to Favre back in a Vikes uniform; whatever will move the offense. However, there are some things that can be taught/learned, some that can't. Stepping up in the pocket and throwing "forward" as opposed to "sideways" can be done. Ponder can throw, he's just been off and stifled the last couple of games. If the coordinator will call for more down field throws, and the qb coach will constantly instruct to look down field, and constantly "practice it," Ponder can get the job done. He's younger, very fast if he needs to run, and can get the job done. The whole offense is in a funk now, not just him. Peterson's first quarter fumble tempo-ed the rest of the game, especially Tampa's offense that put more points on the board quickly. Come on coaches, it's not hard to figure out, tell your qb to throw down field. I absolutely do not believe that Minnesota is full of receivers who can't catch. Come on forum brothers, you don't either!

Starting QB's i'd rather have Ponder over:

Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Tannehill, Mark Sanchez, Andy Dalton, Brandon Weeden, Blaine Gabbert, Carson Palmer, Jake Locker, Mike Vick, Brady Quinn/Matt Cassell, John Skelton, Alex Smith, Russell Wilson, Sam Bradford and maybe a few other inconsistent veterans.

So that puts us near the middle of the league and its his second year? Could be a whole lot worse.

While we're at it, let's contact Fran Tarkenton, Jim Kelly and, heck, Dan Marino. He's done and gone... thank God.

This year has FAR outstripped my expectations for the team, even with this last lousy game, which I admit was VERY difficult to watch. It is never fun when every facet of your favorite team is coming up empty, but it happens, especially at this stage of rebuilding.

Next person who suggests the Vikings bring in Favre, or any other washed-up has-been, deserves to spend a few minutes as Jared Allen's personal tackling dummy. :D

Brett Farce is a force to be reckoned with.
