First suggestions for coaches I've noticed. But judging from a glance, maybe I should be banned for starting this thread. :nono:

I don't think realistic names will start popping up till late season, anyway.
Well, for me, I can't even remotely imagine who the next coach will be, should be or I would like to be.

Here's the rub - I don't think much of this staff, but me not liking the staff and say a 5-11 record are completely removed from the hiring and firing decisions.
Fans may think the HC is a dolt but sometimes it can take YEARS before that HC and staff quits or is fired.
Many, many crappy coaching staffs have hung on for 1,2 or even 3 years for reasons known only to the individual owners and space aliens.
And sometimes a staff "turns over" without really turning over, which is our situation right now.
So to guess who the next coach will be, for me, is impossible. Heck, we don't even know what year we might be in the market for a new HC.

I think it was against the Packers.
If we're thinking of the same game, I think that was against the Titans.

Yeah, it was against the Titans. Kerry Collins just kneels it 3 times to end the game. Play-by-play is at the bottom of the page.

I do not know if his job is in jeopardy, but I like Ken Wisenhunt.

That was the opinion when we had Tice and it brought us Chidress...

Yeah Childress was the military brat that didn't take #### from anyone. How'd that work out?

Bring in a veteran to get a foundation in place, someone like Schottenheimer, Dungy, Gruden, Cowher etc. Not some "up and comer"

Knowing this idiot he'll hire Marty Mornhinweg.

ha funny thread. every single person on this board as well as their moms knew this was going to be a rough season as far as wins and losses go. now, after 2 games and a 1-1 record we're talking about a new coach. great stuff as always.

Part of the reason everyone knew it was going to be a rough season was a terrible coaching staff that wouldn't know what to do with talent if they had it.

And plenty of homers thought we'd be 2-0 right now...

Football season is going to suck **it for me this season, so I nominate Kirk Ferentz as the next Viking coach. His :wallbang: time is up at Iowa, he finds new ways to lose because he's so scared of losing in the first place, and he'd fit right in with the Vikes. :steamed:

Was it really a homer call to say we'd beat Jags and Colts? Both were very close games decided by single digit points.

This team would be much better off with more than 1 new coach. I'd love to get people who would have us ditch Cover 2.

The NFL has now rendered this as a "practice" season. So Frazier gets a pass till next year?
