The bullpen and bats. When our pitching does that well, score wise, the Twins need to win, they need to hit and score runs. Im also with you on moving Mauer. He is too big of a salary to be out very often. Its early, he should be fresh and able to play a few in a row. Not that he is hitting all that well obviously, but he wont pull out of his slump from the bench. Frustrating team to watch right now, you can just about tell by the time the bats wake up, the pitching will go to hell and we'll need 6-8 runs a game to win.

Nathan needs to go to the minors for a bit. He is clearly not 100% and he is hurting the team. Or they could trade him. I wish they would have kept Fuentes.

And, again, another AL East loss for Ron Gardenhire. He has the best job in the whole world. He can fail miserably and people just chalk it up to "he gets the best out of what he has". I wish I could have a job like that.

Exactly. NO other team, anywhere, would continue to be ok with his performances and keep giving him a pass. This season, so far, he is NOT getting the best out of what he has, not even close. Everyday he has a job, is one too many.

Nathen keeps blowing saves going back a couple years to that Yankee's series in the playoffs. Plus everytime I watch a game the Twins lose. Any time I've turned the game on recentlly and the Twins are winning they end up losing.

Just a horrible year to be a Minnesota sports fan. There really isn't anything to even say.

^Well, if the Vikings move, that will be 16 less weeks of torture for us!

The Twins squeeked one out today, and sit firmly in the toilet of the MIGHTY division. Guardy sucks. Even today could have backfired. Pulled a pitcher who was doing well in the late iniings, but his pitch count was too high. Now, I agree there is a point when they need to sit and I didnt hear where his pitch count was, but he was not struggling to get outs. Twins couldnt have started the season worse than they have. They'll be looking up and chasing all season, gonna be a long one.

Only lost by 1, but still a loss. No Young, Mauer, or Morneau, pretty tough to compete with that roster. But man, I really like Valencia. However, the way this team is playing, we'll probably trade him to a contender at the deadline!

Nice to see the Twinkies finally put up some big runs today in the win against Cleveland.

It's like the Vikings' bad luck from 2010 has bled over into the Twins' season. We're about a month into the season and four of the opening day starters have already missed significant amounts of time.

Are there any other teams out there that lose their star players as much as the Twins? It seems like every season, Mauer and Morneau miss big chunks of games. Glad to see Morneau back in the lineup today, but damn he lost some weight while he was sick with the flu!

Maybe they need a new training staff. But you are right, mauer and Morneau miss a lot of time for sure.

It was definately nice to see some runs scored finally. Now, if they can just keep it going! As far as M & M missing so much time, I dont really fault a catcher for missing time, its a tough position. And this year, Morneau only missed cuz of the stomach flu, not much can be done about that, so Ill cut both SOME slack so far this season, but, youre right, over all, they miss too much time, so I hope it doesnt continue.

Totally off subject, but has anyone seen the comercial where Mauer is making fun of T Palamaulu??? Hilarious IMO.

Liriano needs to be sent down. We should have traded him in the offseason.
If something is not done with him after the game tonight, I'll be pissed.
