Cordarrelle Patterson watch WEEK 3

After a nice start in week 1, Patterson only had one touch on offense in week 2, a disappointingly familiar running play the Packers were more than ready to stifle before it could go anywhere. It wasn't exactly Norv Turner at his most inventive.

According to foxsports.com Patterson was only in on 3 snaps.

How many touches (runs or passes) and targets (passes attempted to him) will Patterson have on offense against the Panthers? Kick returns don't count because they are special teams plays, not offensive plays.

I would really like to see him get some snaps in the backfield or at least some of CJ's reps. Won't hold my breath though.

I'm clearly voting with my hopes and not my head.

He technically had 3 if you count the lateral on the punt in game 1.

I went with zero. Last week, I went with 4+ and he got one. I'm hoping that by going 0, he'll get 4+.

Ah, but that was a special teams play. It doesn't count!

Unless Norv Turner gets a brain infection, he'll get 0-3 snaps, and 2 touches at most, so I'll say 1. If he gets 2, at least one will be the same old same old that will get sniffed out and stifled as usual. Possibly stifled better than usual, with the Panther's D. So look for it to be a no gainer to a 5 yard loss.

Im getting bored with Norv back there and Zimmer only caring about the offense. How come these NFL team can find decent backups thata are ready to play, and Rick cant find a QB or Oline Starter (maybe Bradford but we gave an arm and a leg for a mediocre, older QB). Frustrating to say the least. Year after year of this.

If they fake a jet sweep to patterson and the play results in good yardage does that count? I feel he can be just as effective as a decoy...

Could you imagine the inner battle in Jim. They only use, and successfully, Patterson in end a rounds and jets for the totatilty of his career. Hall of Fame career on just jet sweeps ?!

I would love to Cordarrelle get some snaps as a wingback. That would be a way to get him involved.

What a waste of talent. :(

I'd guess the only way CP is going to get any real playing time is if another receiver or two gets injured. Which at our current rate, should happen midway through the Panthers game.

Actually I'm hoping it might not have to come to that. With our current offense, I expect we'll see more receivers on the field, so he might get out there. I imagine Bradford's arm can take more advantage of his speed than Teddy's could, so they might end up "gelling" better for that reason. If so, hopefully it gets noticed in practice.

now that Bradford has earned some slack I am hoping he zips in a couple passes to flash on the run

I voted 4 plus ... but why not the kool aid is cheap and the bar is open ...
