Signing Everson Griffen should be a top priority. I know he kinda fell off last year but to be fair, the whole defense was a mess. I think this year could be his break out year.

No doubt Dean and Sherels will be back. Along with Sanford and Raymond, that pretty much covers ST specialists for the year.

My fear is that if we don't resign Griff, he'll wind up making opposing quarterbacks sleepless in Seattle. Pete Carroll-USC connection..

I don't know about Sanford. He's a liability. I think we can find an easy replacement

I'm guessing Raymond will face some pretty stiff competition this year. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the 53.

Yeah, Sendejo finished the year strong, and I think the Vikings will be seeking a safey in either the draft or free agency. Which is fine. Raymond and Sanford are somewhat interchangeable, although Raymond always looks a little lost on the field. Neither should be starting in the NFL.

Here's news about a free agent that was recently added to the team:

http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Viki ... ence021114
The team announced Tuesday that it has signed former Gophers linebacker Simoni Lawrence.
Apparently, Lawrence went undrafted in 2010, bounced around the league a bit and played in the CFL for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last year.

Any thoughts on him from the Gophers fans out there?

The last CFL players we signed haven't panned out so far. I doubt he makes the 1st cut.

Street free agents signed during this point in the off season are pretty much all camp fodder, maybe with some practice squad potential. The only CFL player that I recall in recent memory to make the team was Kenny Onatolu, who was pretty much confined to special teams for the three years he was on the roster.

The Lions just released Nate Burleson. If they lose Simpson he might fit in.

Thanks for the info.

Burleson is 32 but still a good player when healthy. Unfortunately, he's really had trouble staying healthy, especially over the last two seasons.

Vikings and their receivers. And former receivers.
