Unbelievable. If the Steelers' ownership didn't think they had a reason to fire Tomlin before, they have a good one now. He should be fined, suspended, fired and out of the NFL for this BS.

This is pretty pathetic. Watching it over and over makes it even more ridiculous! Wow.

Wow, that really is a D-bag move! I'm sure he'll be fined and I agree that he should be suspended.

Fine yes. Suspension not warranted as to the best of my knowledge this was the first time Tomlin has done something like this.

To say he should be fired is just ridiculous IMO. I say the NFL should fine him 50 G's, and the Steelers another 50 G's. I wouldn't mind a 1 game suspension either but like I said I don't think it's warranted.

Huge fine for sure, I would suspend fhim for a game.
I never will forget how Goodell felt he had to make an example when Mike Tice sold the SB tickets and fined him a stupid amount of money. Since then, the punishments have been very weak in the NFL for the most part.
Someone has to make an example of Tomlin here. But Goodell is too busy trying to put a team in London to care about this kind of stuff.

What is with these coaches cheating anyway? Did you all see Jason Kidd's d-bag move where he intentionally dropped a cup of soda on the floor at the end of a game where he didn't have any time outs left? Then they had a team huddle and drew up a play? What a loser. Coaches should be suspended for that crap.

Yeah I can't believe there wasn't a penalty on that. It happened right in front of the official. In fact he even got in the officials way. Clearly it was intentionally so there should be a suspension IMO. I mean what could he possibly be looking at in that direction that's so interesting in the middle of a kick return? All the action is happening the other way.

The ref?

Well, the ref cold get disciplined too, which he should. They said something about him getting downgraded, whatever that means.

I think he should be suspended for a game at least ..

Coaches are supposed to stay in a center area of the safety of themselves
and the players

I think that you are right in that he was watching the jumbotron and knew exactly when to stick his right arm out to try and impede the play, and at the same time jump to his left trying to make it look like he was trying to avoid doing exactly what he was intending on doing. Sort of a black Woody Hayes play

Is there any footage of where he was before the play started? To me that would show intent. If he is watching the Jumbotron as the ball is snapped rather than running over to that spot … to me that seems more unintentional.

I know you can't "prove" intent, but good grief, it's so obvious it was intentional. Does he need to be on the field to see the jumbotron? I want to see footage of other kick returns where he's also watching the jumbotron while standing on the field. Nobody else is standing on the field or looking at the jumbotron. And why watch the jumbotron when the play is coming right at you? You have the best seat in the house.

You can see him looking over his shoulder well before Jones even gets to him and then he waited until the last second to jump out of the way. Even his body language suggests intent. He's all stiff and standing straight like a statue. Very unnatural looking.

This is the best angle of the play, right down the sideline on the field, and it clearly shows it was intentional IMO.

Plus he's on the competition committee and should know you're not suppose to even be in the white area on the field. It's the Steelers, like the Packers they're favored by the league. What irritates me the most is every talking head on ESPN and NFL network are saying it doesn't look intentional. That's exactly how it LOOKS, intentional.

Mike Tomlin - DT - Steelers

The Steelers are unlikely to lose any draft picks as a result of the Mike Tomlin sideline incident.

The NFL has determined that Jacoby Jones might have scored a touchdown if Tomlin didn't get in his way. But they would up kicking a field goal and winning the game anyway, so the only effect the incident had on the bottom line was a four-point swing. An NFL source told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that draft picks will only be stripped if those four points cost the Ravens any playoff seeding tiebreakers. That's highly unlikely to happen, meaning Tomlin and the Steelers have escaped with only the $100K fine.
