Steelers vs. Vikings

I wonder what kind of crowd a game between two 0-3 teams battling it out for their first win is going to draw. In any case, we're looking at a must win game for both teams. Neither of them looking very good, but the Vikings, at least, are healthy. Could be a seriously ugly contest.

Why is it a must win for either team? 0-3 teams pretty much are looking to next year.

Might as well shoot for the number 1 pick in the draft. I say it is a must lose!
I actually really like Ponder and have been pulling for him. But when I reviewed the game last night, I came to grips with the fact that he just can't throw accurately under ANY pressure. Even his short yardage completions, at times, require more acrobatic effort than necessary by his receivers.

Will be fun to see the London game tho. Anyone know when the Vikings travel there? I'm sure it's much earlier than normal to get aqquainted with the time switch somewhat.

They are traveling today.
I just hope that the o-line / felton can spring peterson for some huge runs so they can at least get a show.

If yesterdays game put you off on Ponder you must have missed a lot of his games last year. I've watched every game he has ever played with the Vikings and yesterdays game was actually one of his better ones
I recall watching him several times last year where he made Tebow look competent

He seems like a likable guy, I was actually somewhat optimistic when they drafted him, but it was clear about midway through last year that he is not and never will be NFL starter material.

Actually it wasn't one of his better ones. It wasn't as bad as his worst ones, but it was an inconsistent demonstration of his passing abilities. His first drive was awesome! a couple of inaccurate passes, but a couple of good ones too. He looked like a 'real' NFL quarterback out there. I know we are saying basically the same thing, but Ponder can't seem to consistently perform well. In that aspect he is Tarvaris Jackson V 2.0. Jackson could turn in some pretty impressive games too, but only about once every 5 games or so. That simply won't cut it. Ponder is in year three. I don't mind that he finishes the year, but I don't have any expectations he's going to significantly improve this year over last year. I was expecting Ponder to display some of his 'ceiling' (in terms of his ability) this year. I'm just not seeing much (if any) improvement from last year. That is disappointing...

YES! The Vikings are probanly the healthiest team in the NFL... They cant even use that excuse.

The Steelers may suck but Dick Lebeau has an extremely complex blitzing system. I get the feeling it will rattle our pedestrian O-Line and QB. Ike Taylor is a good corner but this should be a nice game for AP.

Since it is a Vikings 'Home Game' I wonder if we get to decide whether to open the roof?

The Steelers' offensive line is terrible and Big Ben doesn't seem to mind throwing balls up for grabs. They get rookie running back Le'Veon Bell back, but he may not be 100%. The Vikings should be able to get a lot of pressure on Roethlisberger and force some turnovers. The Steeler defense, meanwhile, doesn't have a single turnover this year.

Shambles vs. Disarray
These teams are a mess in ceratin areas of their teams. Should be fun!

Ya both teams look like crap but does anyone honestly believe that the Vikings have a chance of winning? Our team is seriously f'd up, across the board. If Hoyer can get 300+ yards and 3 TDs against our D, then Big Ben and his receivers will rip us to shreds. 0-4 is looking a us right in the face.
I'd say it's a safe bet that it will be Ponder's last game as the Vikings starting QB.

I don't believe the Vikings have much chance but they always seem to play to the competition. Maybe they will think the Steelers are still good and play to that level
Barring a 40-0 shellacking with Ponder throwing 6 int's (or an injury) I don't believe he will be benched.

I think they have a chance, their losses have been by a slim margin and with Felton back I think the ball control stuff will work better. I agree with you that things look very bad across the board right now but things look bad for Pittsburgh too so this one looks winnable to me.
