It now looks like the Harvin trade was a great deal for the Vikes!

This. All #### day. Brought a smile to my face when I saw he needed surgery.

#### thinks he's too good for us, doesn't want to be a part of us, wants out. Well, enjoy the sidelines, ####.

That's the thing, though - I believe he DOES love the sidelines more than playing the game. Same pay, far less work! Seems like what he hated the most about the Vikings is that they were calling him out on his injury BS and tightening the screws to get him to contribute.

Spielman, I still am mad at you for letting Winfield go, but I totally understand and now fully support your decision to trade Harvin. Well played.

I don't hate Harvin like you guys, but I am glad we are done and over with this guy. When on the field only AD works harder for yards than Percy. Off the field though, it's a bit different. Regardless his outrageous contract demands and where he placed himself as a WR in the NFL made me think differently. I wanted to beat Seattle with a full healthy Harvin so we could laugh in his face...oh well.

Who knows? He's currently scheduled to be back by late November. We play the Seahawks on Nov. 17th. If he recovers ahead of schedule he may try to play against us.

I think the Vikings made a smart move trading Percy. I refuse to cheer for an injury, even to a guy that was a bit of a pain and a prima donna here, but I'm glad his headaches are now someone else's problem.

Glad we moved on and we got some good picks, and did some maneuvering, and it looks like things will work out pretty well for the Vikings.

That being said I don't wish injury on anyone. Well except if you play for GB.

Awful/weird thought: Had we not traded Percy, we likely wouldn't have had Jennings or Patterson (assuming we extended Harvin). Meaning our top three WRs opening day could've been Simpson, Wright, Burton.

And that's exactly why this Harvin news is so great. We moved on without him just as we needed to--and it's looking better and better as time goes on.

I mean, missing half of last season and a majority of this season, too? Plus his poor attitude and contract demands? He needed to go. Sucks to lose the talent, but the Vikings are the winners here. Our picks will be contributing much more than Harvin! The only thing he is contributing for the next few months is a headache. :)

Seems a bit like beating a dead horse at this point. Harvin is gone. Injured or not he doesn't have an effect on this team anymore.

Cheering the misfortune of others has a way of coming back to haunt. Injuries can happen anytime to anyone~

I'm glad it's not the Vikings problem any more either but the elation in this thread over someone getting injured is pretty hysterical.
It's not the fact that he left the team, it's how he left the team. Most fans like myself got the impression that he thought he was too good to play for us so he wanted out.

Now it would've been different if his situation was similar to Winfield's, a business decision. But this was more about Percy Harvin putting himself before the team and wanting out of Minnesota. I believe most fans loved Percy but after the trade I know most fans feel betrayed.

I know I do.

But ***** Percy Harvin. I hope he does come back in time to play us so we can injure him again. :steamed:
