Bonser’s injury was worse than expected; season likely over

Doctors today found a torn labrum and torn rotator cuff in Boof Bonser’s right shoulder, leading to more extensive repairs than what was first thought.

Bonser is out at least six months, but probably the whole season.

Well, that may hurt the bullpen. Although he didn't have a good season last year he probably could have been a effective reliever.
I hope we go after Juan Cruz for sure now.

That's too bad for Boof. But it won't affect me much. I plan on engaging in a personal (i.e., one-person) boycott of the Major League baseball season. I may end it at the All-Star game, but in any event, I'm hoping to pay less attention to baseball this year.

I don't think the jerks who have run that league into the ground -- player union and owners -- deserve my interest. And as much as I love the sport, the only way to make a statement that's meaningful to those schmucks is to refrain from watching for a significant time period.

Baseball is an awesome sport. But the barons of Major League Baseball have done everything possible to make it unwatchable.

The last time I felt this way was with respect to boxing. I was a HUGE boxing fan as a kid and teenager, and watched it well into my twenties. It's been many years since I've watched a fight, though. I suspect many baseball fans can tell a similar story, or if not now, they will in another decade or so.

Oh yeah -- "Go Yankees." You and the Red Sox seem to be the only teams that MLB care about. And if you win, the absurdity of it all becomes more apparent, so go ahead and win, schmucks.

Hey.
WE get good coverage here.
it comes on sky sports every sunday. We get 5 games live every sunday .
so 2 for the 1 o clock game(thats 6pm in ireland)
2 more choices for the next set
and a late night game.
we also get all the playoffs ,thurs night, monday night and the superbowl games.

we get the draft and preseason 2
and a bit of nfl total acess.
college football comes on NASN for us but we have to pay for it so i dont bother with it.
but the prob is that they dont play the vikings all that much ( but they got good coverage last year because we actually won games)
We also have the wembley game which i just bought tickets for.
im hoping to one day get tickets to come to minnesota for a game :D.

there is american football league in ireland where i live 2 :D:D lol, Its called the IAFL ( irish american football league)
I play for the Cork admirals. they recently got to the semi final of the shamrock bowl (i know its pretty lame name). I play O-line for the youth team atm like.
This is the website if ya wanna have a look like www.corkadmirals.net
