I'm guessing some of you cats watching MNF just saw and heard Gruden talking about and showing play after play of bad officiating calls/non calls all in favor of the Ravens, including against the Vikings!
...wisdom

Yep. Bogus.
Glad they showed it, though. A little justice.

I know it matters "not" anymore, but when and why did the Ravens become a favored son, or am I just bitter? I never disliked the Ravens, ever, but I'm being forced by the officials to dislike them.
...wisdom ?

I'm not totally sure either, but my guess is just because they are the defending SB champions.

They are a big market team. NFL has publicly stated that "star" quarterbacks are financially profitable for them and has argued in court that revenue
sharing makes them 1 entity, not 32. Any big market team with a quarterback that they can advertise and merchandise and propagandize, that is,
"sell," is of the highest league priority.
Just like the NBA's "star player" rules of the Jordan Rules or the Lebron James rules, rules are for the little teams.
Big market teams with brand name QBs are what the NFL goes ga-ga for. Anybody who doesn't have one will get hosed by the refs every time.
Notice all the league "apologies" to us and none to the New England Bradys, New Orleans Brees, etc?
I really think the NFL is trying to get Flacco "over" as a top flight, name brand, marketable QB for the $$$
