You beat me by 1 minute. Decided to make a new thread as I'm sure they'll be updates and this one is likely to get buried.Crax wrote:Full Roster after cuts right now(from the vikings official twitter account):

@TomPelissero: Without Rosenfels (34), Carr (29) and Frampton (28) ... 40 of 53 players on #Vikings roster are age 27 or younger.
@TomPelissero: The way I hear it, in all 3 cases, the deciding factor was keeping younger players with more upside. Spielman's goal from Day 1. #Vikings
The two guys that are gone are Guyton and Homan. Guyton will probably be on the practice squad.Vikings have drafted 20 players over the past two years. Sixteen of them are on the 53, plus Childs/Love on IR. That goes to plan, too.
I just don't understand the negative comments about Webb. He has two years in the league, and two starts - a massive upset of the Eagles, and a six point loss to the Lions. Other than that, he is known for bringing the Vikings to the brink of victory in Detroit - coming back from down 14 to a chance to win the game at the goalline with the last play (with the massive facemask penalty against the lions going uncalled), and coming into the Redskins game after successive plays lost us Peterson and Ponder and winning that game, in Washington.PurpleKoolaid wrote:Why cut Sage and keep Webb? Insanity. Are they really going to try and make a QB out of him?
I do, too. I love Todman's explosiveness, but I think the Vikings are looking for a more conservative 3 yards and a cloud of dust running game.80 PurplePride 84 wrote:I wish they'd kept Todman. I hope he clears waivers and is signed to the PS.
He's been in the NFL for 3 years. can't throw an accurate ball. can't read defenses. can't go through his progressions. can't make half the throws he's asked too. and hasn't shown any improvement along the way....I just don't understand the negative comments about Webb.
I pretty much agree. While I love Webb's overall athleticism, he's sort of a college QB playing in the pro league.Demi wrote: He's been in the NFL for 3 years. can't throw an accurate ball. can't read defenses. can't go through his progressions. can't make half the throws he's asked too. and hasn't shown any improvement along the way....
He also cant catch a ball so he is utterly useless in your words. You just acquire natural ability to catch a ball. Some people are great at it others not so great. There is little you can do to make yourself great at catching a ball. There are some athletic corners that could play WR but they couldnt catch a ball if it was tossed to them. What im trying to say is Athletic Ability doesnt equal a great WR.Demi wrote: He's been in the NFL for 3 years. can't throw an accurate ball. can't read defenses. can't go through his progressions. can't make half the throws he's asked too. and hasn't shown any improvement along the way....
Which is why they should have kept Sage, even being older. Webb is in a bad place. The only way he does something good, is come into a game, when they team isnt expecting him. They figure him out FAST. Its such a waste I just dont understand it. Think about it, they let Todman go who has shown promise, and kept Webb, again.Demi wrote: He's been in the NFL for 3 years. can't throw an accurate ball. can't read defenses. can't go through his progressions. can't make half the throws he's asked too. and hasn't shown any improvement along the way....
