44 years of frustration following this team. Sigh Will the frustration ever end?
Re: Vikings @ Cardinals Gameday Discussion Thread -- Week 14
Well, let's start Harris at safety with Smith, get the rest of the D healthy, and let Teddy throw like he did tonigh and we can win the remainder of our schedule.

Yes so long as he isn't in the grasp and the ball passes the line of scrimmage. I don't think a ref throws a flag in that situation unless it's a real blatant grounding.TSonn wrote:

Could be worse,
at least we're not Cleveland Browns fans.

As long as there is a receiver in the area. It can and has been called for throwing out of the end zone with no one around.S197 wrote: Yes so long as he isn't in the grasp and the ball passes the line of scrimmage. I don't even care what zimmer has to say. There is no excuse, I don't even care if turner called that bs, you're the head coach, you override it

There are alot of coaching staffs that would have attempted to bite off more yardage there.Boon wrote:I don't even care what zimmer has to say. There is no excuse, I don't even care if turner called that bs, you're the head coach, you override it

Somewhere there is an alternate reality where that game ended with a 40 yard bomb to diggs. I'm going to try focus on that.

I have seen many QB's throw it out of the end zone on plays like that near the end of a game, just takes the arm strength to get it out.me4get wrote: As long as there is a receiver in the area. It can and has been called for throwing out of the end zone with no one around.

As long as a receiver is somewhere in the area. Normally on a play where the qb throws it out of bounds they rarely call intentional grounding, like throwing it through the end zone.TSonn wrote: Can he just chuck it OB?

Pretty sure Teddy can throw it further than 40 yards.Football38 wrote: I have seen many QB's throw it out of the end zone on plays like that near the end of a game, just takes the arm strength to get it out.

Zimmer in the press conference, just said that the play was supposed to go out of bounds. This is on Bridgewater unfortunately.

If he is in the pocket, he can't just get it to the LOS, there is supposed to be a receiver in the area. But no, I don't think they throw the flag in that situation.S197 wrote: Yes so long as he isn't in the grasp and the ball passes the line of scrimmage.
