Floyd was considered a consensus top 5 pick at one point

Rhodes was pegged to Tampa for weeks

And Patterson was once considered a top 10 pick.

We got them at 23/25/29 respectively

We need the picks, Patterson is a big ?

Rhodes must be a god of a CB to Spielman.

But I love all 3 picks.

Really wish we kept that high 4th from Detroit but in the grand scheme, the Vikings still nabbed 3 players in the first 3 rounds. It makes tomorrow boring but I like Patterson's upside.

I forgot about Karlos. We actually went to high school together.

I can't see a 4th rounder coming in to start. I'm glad they didn't take Teo, but the middle looks pretty empty. I hope that they reach out to a free agent.

I like Patterson and hope that the Vikes find a way to get the ball to him.

I think we just turned a Percy Harvin negative into a major positive

urlacher will be next. a veteran to help with this young team. Jennings urlacher AD helping lead the way. Harrison Smith setting the tone. I would be ecstatic. I also wouldnt be suprised if Spielman doesnt have someone they feel could help us in round 4 at mlb. He got us pretty good value last year in the later rounds.

I was on record saying that Patterson would never last until 31. Some team would trade up to get him, I said. Little did I know...

Well, I spoke too soon about avoiding the Patterson land mine. It ends up being much worse than just #23 or #25 for him, instead we give up our entire day 2 for him. No shot at robert woods or a LB now. Hope Cole is ready to go...

Well, he's a Viking now, I hope like heck this guy gets it at some point. :govikes:

Can you call him and see what he's up to?

Cordarrelle Patterson - WR - Vikings

Vikings traded up to select Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson with the No. 29 overall pick, sending the Nos. 52, 83, 102, and 229 overall picks to the Patriots.

Patterson (6-foot-1 7/8, 216) spent just one season at Division I after a JUCO transfer, catching 46 balls for 778 yards (16.9 YPR) and five scores. Used in the backfield and on special teams, Patterson set Tennessee's single-season record for all-purpose yards (1,858), adding three touchdowns as a ball carrier and two on returns. Patterson is an athletic freak with insane after-catch elusiveness, but he's still learning to run routes with confidence and precision. At the Combine, Patterson ran a 4.42 forty with a 37-inch vertical and 10-foot-8 broad jump. Patterson is the explosive receiver the Vikings badly needed after trading away Percy Harvin. He'll likely slide in as the starter opposite Greg Jennings, ahead of Jerome Simpson.
