Cris Carter.....”if Case Keenum was still with the Vikings, they’d have two wins right now”. Pretty sure a hall of fame WR judges QB talent a little better than we do.

Maybe that tells us they are all overpaid.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:04 pm For what it’s worth, out of the top 6 highest paid QBs in the nfl annually, Kirk cousins is the only one still in playoff contention.
Rodgers, Ryan, Stafford, jimmy G (injured but wouldn’t have been in the playoffs) and Derek Carr.
It seems like the QB position is becoming overvalued again. Thsts a really, really telling stat. I'd be curious how many playoff wins there are between them all.purplehaze wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:22 pmMaybe that tells us they are all overpaid.Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:04 pm For what it’s worth, out of the top 6 highest paid QBs in the nfl annually, Kirk cousins is the only one still in playoff contention.

Definitely!Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 6:59 pmAnd let’s be honest, Buffalo with josh Allen, is a million times different than buffalo with Nathan Peterman
Didn't Carter also predict that AP would not be successful this year with the Redskins?Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:15 pm Cris Carter.....”if Case Keenum was still with the Vikings, they’d have two wins right now”. Not sure about using a quote from Cris Carter. That's almost as bad as using PFF to win an argument. His guaranteed salary is $28M/yr (ave), that's $9M more than the next fellow (Rodgers), $16M more than Keenum. (I really think Keenum could have easily won 6 games with this team) So my question is, how does the guarantee part of the contract come into play? Will it matter only if they want to trade him or if he gets hurt?YikesVikes wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 8:22 pm Again....
There are 14 QBs making 20 million this season. Kirk is making 24 million this season.
Matthew Stafford signed a 90 million dollar guaranteed contract. Why is Kirk Contract such a big deal? I think it is purposely being dragged by the NFL to discourage fully guaranteed contracts. There is nothing about his contract that is unbelievable money. He is like the 9th highest paid QB this season. Next season, I expect him to fall out of the top 10 once the FA market hits and new deals are signed. People think for your selves. The crap the talking heads are talking about is foolish.
PHP congrats, you just won the internet. Didn't know there was a contest but somehow you won it!Pondering Her Percy wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:04 pm For what it’s worth, out of the top 6 highest paid QBs in the nfl annually, Kirk cousins is the only one still in playoff contention.

It's a big deal because it's an expensive, guaranteed contract that basically locks the Vikings in with Cousins for the next 3 years. They left themselves no flexibility, no out, so now that he is arguably underperforming and demonstrating why the Redskins didn't want to give him this kind of deal, the Vikings are somewhat stuck. They have committed themselves to 3 years of Cousins as their QB.YikesVikes wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 8:22 pm Again....

Who cares? This season he is making 24 million. Next season 28. He's not going to be the highest and there will be probably 10 guys over 25. None of this is an issue. Again, 14 other QBs are making 20 million this season. 14!!!!!!!!!!!!808vikingsfan wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 8:35 pmHis guaranteed salary is $28M/yr (ave), that's $9M more than the next fellow (Rodgers), $16M more than Keenum. 1. It's not expensive. It's what the league is paying QBs. 14 Other guys are in his salary range.Mothman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:57 pmIt's a big deal because it's an expensive, guaranteed contract that basically locks the Vikings in with Cousins for the next 3 years. It's not an insurmountable problem and if his play improves, it may not be a problem at all but it's the 3 year commitment combined with the money that's generating the discussion, not just the money.
Mothman wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:57 pmWhat FA is being signed without 3 years of commitment in guaranteed money? That's the norm. I rather not deal with a super bloated contact like Matt Ryan and Stafford's for 5 years. This gives us a reasonable out. Again, what was the option, Case Keenum that had 1 season. Would you bet your job on him repeating his magic? I wouldn't. Again, Kirk has played well when we protected him.YikesVikes wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 8:22 pm Again....

He has the best % under pressure. He is the most pressured QB, most hit Qb. I don't know why people expect this guy to be Jesus in purple. Protect him and he plays, we haven't. Have you seen our Oline? Wet paper towels have better stopping power. When was the last time you saw a hole open. They got whipped 2 games straight on the LOS.
