From what I have read Zimmer system is based on versatility and being unpredictable for offenses .... so players have to be intelligent and good at many skills..I certainly hope that Barr and Kendricks finally shut me up about the LB position(s) and they dominate and make me eat some crow about drafting Barr instead of Mosley. If Kendricks can match his college number output, I will be a very happy camper. Even though CJM played at a very high level, he will have to back that up this year, and prove that he will not be a flash in the pan.
I certainly hope so. I have been weary of the LB play for quite some time. It will be nice to not have to see the mediocrity in the middle on defense.jackal wrote: From what I have read Zimmer system is based on versatility and being unpredictable for offenses .... so players have to be intelligent and good at many skills..
Barr really started to flash in some games last year.. I think those two will be a very good tandem for a long time.
The last group I thought was good, not great .... Greenway, Leber, and E.J. Henderson ... they played behind an awesome D lineI certainly hope so. I have been weary of the LB play for quite some time. It will be nice to not have to see the mediocrity in the middle on defense.
That is what I am hoping for. Love Chad in purple, but hope Hodges gets his shot as a starting LB. He has put in the time and seems to produce whenever he gets a chance.jackal wrote:yeah I am hoping we get to see him, barr, and hodges all playing together soon.
Same here. I think you'll see Greenway and Hodges sharing a lot of reps this yearDK Sweets wrote:I agree. I was really impressed with Hodges last year.
Yes, good point. The year the Ben played at a high level, the whole corps was pretty good.jackal wrote: The last group I thought was good, not great .... Greenway, Leber, and E.J. Henderson ... they played behind an awesome D line
with the Willams wall and Jarad Allen
I will be surprised if Hodges does not outright take over before the end of the season. He needs to do this if he is to earn the job in years to come.Pondering Her Percy wrote: Same here. I think you'll see Greenway and Hodges sharing a lot of reps this year
