I have it too, and no problems at all. Great game, hoping Mettenberger and lSU pull it off. I like AJ, Hate bama.Reignman wrote:And it figures, CBS is all glitchy on directv tonight so I can't watch the Bama game. Is it snowing out? Stupid directv. Crazy how it's only CBS though. LOL and of course the commercials come in fine. #conspiracy
I guess AJ is struggling so far tonight too lol. Figures the day I decide to talk him up he goes out and looks bad.
I want this guy in purple next year.

Re: I want this guy in purple next year.
One week it's Manziel, the next it's Bridgewater, Mariota, on and on. 6 of one, half a dozen of another. You cannot ignore Manziel's numbers but will his bravado help or hurt him at the next level. I am sure that there will be much salivating on defense to put the hammer down on him if he plays his cards the same way he does now.
It's way too early to project who will end up where. I am sure if we are drafting in the top 6, the Vikings will somehow leave us scratching our heads.
At this moment, for me, I would like to have a "for real" shutdown corner. And with the next pick, defense. Safety, LB, CB. Whatever the pick will end of being, the draft team needs to be tuned in this year to all rounds and do their homework on players later in the draft.

Don't hate on my Buckeyes. Some of the best Vikings went to Ohio State.

Who we need is CJ MOSLEY, LB from Alabama
Re: I want this guy in purple next year.
Assuming our pick will be between 3-10, Manzeil will be available for the Vikings. I would take him.
He's a competitor, and he is a really good QB. He's got the "it" factor that most QB's don't have.
Spoiled? Probably. Jerk? maybe. Really really good football player? Definitely. He will win at he NFL level -- and I would be very happy if we took him.

MacCarron looks very average tonight. Other times I've seen him I walked away pretty impressed by his accuracy and variety of throws he can make.
Mettenberger looks better tonight.
Manziel is money. The kid just oozes confidence and he plays with an attitude. His style of play would be so refreshing b/c its the opposite of what we've had since Wrangler Man.

All qualities you don't want in a QB, the face of your franchise

You're correct, but, some of the best QB's are arrogant jerks. Please excuse the super cliche, but he is an "alpha male", and demands respect. If he wins, teammates will follow.MrPurplenGold wrote: All qualities you don't want in a QB, the face of your franchise
What has Manzeil done off the field that has truly been uncalled for? The darn kid is like 19 years old.
Plus, he makes incredible plays. He nearly beat the closest thing to an NFL team twice (Alabama) -- as a freshman and a sophmore. He's got the instincts and athleticism that NFL coaches would beg for from their QB.
Re: I want this guy in purple next year.
Any where he goes he will be embraced by the fan base, but will be more-than-likely hated by opposing teams' fans.
He's proven that that doesn't bother him, quite the contrary, actually.

Are you guys in the Minneapolis area? WCCO (CBS) is always a problem channel on directv for me. I couldn't even watch, it was so bad. The picture would freeze for minutes at a time, but like I said the commercials were fine lol. Now the game is coming in fine, but with Bama sittin on a big lead they're milking the clock.MrPurplenGold wrote: I've got direct TV as well and I haven't had too many problems. The Alabama offense has not been able to get Going so far. There have been some opportunities for McCarron, he's just missed them

Yes, he sometimes makes ill-advised throws, much like another 'gunslinger' we know. However, his amazing throws, his leadership and confidence, his ability to make something of nothing, and his ability to feel and escape pressure far outweigh that fault in his game. Also... the kid is 20. A sophomore. And looks NFL ready.Reignman wrote:Hmmm what was that stat I heard today? Manziel has 4 INT's in the RZ in the past 2 games, or something like that? If you want to watch an NFL caliber QB, watch Alabama tonight xD.

The UCLA QB should be the 1st QB taken......if not, I hope the VIkings can take him. He'd be perfect!
